So ayane is suffering from the phobia because of a tragic experience she had, shown in the earliest episode maybe, n her promise to the childhood friend became true cause she literally cant get close to any guys, the guy that carried her back is probs the childhood friend who liked her, or is he an imaginary friend in the form of a bunny doll that has somehow became real n he knows her but she doesnt know him n following with the usual romance stuff?
