Lexy had, had enough. With all her might, she yanked open the big oak door. It swung wide open.
When she looked into the room, Lexy saw darkness retreating back into Madam Vile. She didn’t see Christine anywhere.
“What did you do?” Lexy screamed at Madam Vile. She felt a hand grab her from behind. Lexy swung her head around. Behind her, she saw Raven, and then her head was twisted painfully back to look at Madam Vile.
“What did I do to whom, Christine or Micheal?” Madam Vile had a huge smile on her face.
Lexy didn’t know what to say. All she could do was look behind Madam Vile at the board with bloodstained straps.
Lexy was gripped tighter. Raven whispered into her ear, “You ruined my life, you little nothing and now you're going to pay.”
Lexy found her voice. She whispered back, “If I was a little nothing, then how would I have been able to ruin your life?” Raven growled in Lexy’s ear and pulled her hair down.
“Oww!” Lexy exclaimed.
Madam Vile strode over to them and said, “Raven, don’t harm her. That’s for me to do later.” Madam Vile broke out into a wide evil smile. “But first let us stew her. ”
Lexy was thrown into a dark, small room. Madam Vile slammed the door after her, and Lexy couldn’t see anything. She started pacing the room. Lexy wondered what “... let her stew…” meant. She had never felt more alone than she did now. Lexy didn’t even know if it was still night.
She thought about all the things that Michael and Christine had said to her. They had talked about her never being alone. And now they had left her all by herself.
Lexy then thought about what Madam Vile was going to do to her. “What is she going to do to me? Is she going to torture me?”
She heard a creak of a door opening. Lexy looked up. She saw Madam Vile looming over her. “What do you want?” Lexy asked, her voice cracked.
“I want the truth my dear,” Madam Vile purred. Leaning closer, she said, “And I want your kingdom.”
