Lexy was still drifting in the light. The fairy had left long ago, after stating that she was never alone. Lexy just kept drifting, thinking. She was thinking about what the fairy had said.
“Maybe the fairy was right,” Lexy said to herself. “Maybe I’m not alone and never was.” She started thinking about her parents and her brother. White light started to gather around her until it was blinding. Lexy shut her eyes against the light and thought about her best friend forever, Christine. Then, Lexy woke up.
Lexy opened her eyes and had to blink rapidly for her eyes to adjust. After the light of her dream, the dungeon was extremely dark.
“Again, sleeping beauty awakes. You really need to stop passing out,” a voice called out in the dark.
Lexy twisted in her restraints to try to locate the origin of the voice, but she couldn’t reach far enough. “Who are you? Step into the light.”
“Still the princess that you were once, aren’t you. Bossing me around does take a hint of courage or a hint of stupidity.” Madam Vile stepped out of the darkness.
“You don’t scare me,” Lexy said, her voice strong.
“Oh, I don’t do I?” Madam Vile chuckled.
Lexy shuddered. “No, you don’t,” Lexy’s voice wavered.
“We are all alone down here. I wouldn’t torture you too badly with Raven in here. After all, she is still my daughter,” Madam Vile smiled.
“I’m not alone,” Lexy said defiantly but she was still shaken.
“Yes you are you moron,” Madam Vile sneered at her. “Everyone you’ve ever cared about, I got rid of.”
“So you did get rid of them,” Lexy said leaning forward and straining against her restraints.
“Wow. You are a moron. I’ve had enough of you. I can take over the kingdom by force. So, it’s time for you to die.”
Madam Vile raised her hand and light started to be sucked towards it.
As Madam Vile’s hand swung towards Lexy’s face, Lexy screamed, “I’m not alone!!!!!”
A bright light began emanating from Lexy. When it touched Madam Vile, she hissed, “What are you doing?” Madam Vile asked and took several steps back.
Lexy didn’t answer and the light only got brighter. When the light hit Madam Vile again, she hissed and stepped back. Soon Madam Vile couldn’t get away.
“What am I doing? Is this my magic? I don’t think that I really care,” Lexy thought.
The light got so blinding and Lexy heard Madam Vile scream. Then everything was silent and bright.
Lexy saw the faces of her parents, her brother, and Christine came out of the light and get closer to her. Then everything faded to white.
