Minor spoilers about the character and the faction prehistory:

After the collapse of their corporation, the group of eight "Level A officers" (or, basically saying, killers) started to try to survive by themselves. But then, some tragic event had happened. Only five of them remained after it, including Kate (Character sheets for the others will be made in the future, too).

Since then, they started to isolate themselves from the rest the of world. Over the past thirty years (before the beginning of the main story) they had direct face-to-face contacts only with each other and with their victims. All orders and purchases were made quickly and anonymously - in such a way that neither the buyer nor the seller could see each other's faces. All what the rest of the world knew about them was that their name is "The Shades", and that they always get a job done. It was enough.

Four men and one woman, living (and killing) together for a thirty years, with a minimum of external contacts... what could go wrong?
