TW - PANIC ATTACK AND ABUSE.
I sit on the small bed and drink from my water bottle. There is yelling upstairs about some shit or whatever. I rummage around the room. "Shit, they emptied everything out." I mutter and softly knock on the door. "Yes Damien?" Cas says appearing. "Call Roberts. Tell him to send more of the water bottles." I whisper and Cas nods.
I quickly shut the door knowing Cas would do it when it was safe. I sigh and sit back on the bed. It was a dark stone basement. Luckily there were not any bugs. Only a basement smell and a bed. Oh and sometimes I even get a new pair of clothes. I sigh and rub my face.
"Damien, get up here." My father says in a gruff voice. It's been weeks and all I have done is sleep. I would sleep for 12 hours and sip my drink, falling back asleep. Over and over. I get up quickly and he shoves clothes at me. "Be presentable, we have guest for Christmas." I mumble an ok and change quickly.
I wait until Cas comes to get me. "Uh, it's said that it's the Wicks and Graies." I sigh. "Great so Charlotte and Nole." I mutter and go to the bathroom. "Jesus Christ." I mumble, looking at my frail figure. My eyes were empty. I had dark circles under my eyes and my skin was a bit grayish. I brushed my unruly hair back and pulled it into a tight bun. It was shoulder length now.
There's a knock at the door. "Damien, they are here." I steady my self and open the door, smiling quickly at Cas. He has worry and fear in his eyes. "Sir did you have enough-" He stops, noticing my mother. I nod and walk over to her. "This is my oldest son Damien." My mother says, holding my shoulders tight. I force a smile as she introduces me to the Wicks and Graies.
Rose runs up to me and jumps, holding onto my neck. "Hi Rosie Posie." I say softly, situating her on my waist. She smiles and kisses my cheek. "This is Rose, my youngest daughter." My mother says, her face neutral. "Jack." She calls. "Yea mom?" He says coming around the corner. "I was just showing Mace,Nole,Charlotte, and Luna around the house." My father smiles proudly at his sons courtesy.
I lowered my eyes to the ground and my mom pokes me. ""Go with them." She hisses in my ear. I nod quickly and set Rose down, ushering her to Jack. She looked at me confused but I just forced a smile on my face. She bounces along as Jack shows them the house. I hang back and lean in the doorway of his room. He shows them around and turns to me.
"What?" I say quietly. "Show them your room." He says quietly and I shake my head. "Uh.." I stutter. They stare at me and Rose bounces over. "Let'ss goo." She says cheerfully. I sigh. Anything for my little sister. I bring them to my room. I open the door and flick on the light.
It's a hexagonal room that is grey based. My bed is neatly made and the walls are blank. Rose bounces on the bed as the other five wonder around. I open up a drawer and pull out a few bottles of the liquid. "Can I have one??" Rose asks, grabbing one form the drawer. "No Rose." I say softly and take it back.
"But why?" She asks and I glance at Jack. He just has an amused face. "Uh well, Mom and Dad might kill me if I give them to you." I say in her ear and her eyes widen. "Ok." She says quietly and I stand up. "Damien." I hear a low voice. My dad is standing in the doorway with a neutral expression. "Shit." I mutter and try to hide the bottles of liquid.
"Come with me." He says stiffly. Jack distracts Rose so I can leave. "Damien what did we tell you about going into your room?" He hisses, grabbing my wrist and pulling me downstairs. The guest and mom are in the living room. My ad pulls me into the kitchen, closing the large doors. "I just-" I whimper, cutting my sentence off when he grabs a knife and cuts it deep into my arm.
"Clean this and yourself up." He snarls and leaves the room. I wince and clean off the knife, after stopping the bleeding with a rag. Cas walks in and his face turns to horror. "Are you ok?" He asks and I nod. I blink back tears. "Go to my room, find the bandage kit." I mumble and put the knife away, cleaning up the spots of blood on the ground.
I wince at every move my arm makes. Cas comes back. "Thanks." I mumble and clean the wound, wincing. I quickly stitch it up and put a bandage over it. "How did you?" Cas asks. I just smile a little and put my fingers to my lips. "Secret." I whisper. He goes back upstairs and puts the box back. My mom calls us for dinner.
"Damien as been a bit sick so all he can have is a water bottle." My mother says, putting on a sincere tone. The adults murmur their condolences and I can feel peoples eyes on me. I sip the water. I needed the liquid. When they finish dinner I quickly walk outside. Exhaling the cool air I sit in a chair. My head is killing me. I sigh and stand up.
"Fuck." I mutter as the world becomes a bit hazy. I quickly go inside and slam the door to the basement. "Where is it." I mumble, after making sure my stitches were still together. I search for the only bottle left. "No, no, no." I mumble and feel tears collecting in my eyes. "They couldn't." I mutter and my mother chuckles. "But we could." I stare at her and she closes the door softly.
I haul myself on the bed, using the last bit of strength I have. The world goes dark as I curl up in a ball. I hear shuffling and I pick my head up just a bit. It's still dark but someone is moving around. "Cas?" I ask, my voice weak. "Oh thank god." I hear someone mutter. "Cas is that you?" I ask a bit louder.
"I'm here Damien, try and sip this." He says coming into my view. I uncurl myself and sit up, sipping the liquid. "Wait if my parents-" I start and he shushes me. "They are drunk out of their minds." Cas says quietly. I nod and Roberts steps forward. "We need to get you to-" "No." I say softly. "No I can't." Roberts stares at me.
"Why?" He asks. "Rose. I can't just leave her." He sighs. "Damien she's at the school. It's been three weeks." My eyes widen in shock. "What." I whisper and he helps me up. "Here lets get you to the car so I can get you to the school. I will alert the dean that you are in critical care and that she CANNOT let your parents in." I nod and stand up, teetering a bit. We quickly and quietly get to the car.
I collapse on the seat and Cas makes sure I'm alright. "Bye Cas." I mumble and he nods. Roberts drives off and we make it to the school. "Come on Damien." He mumbles. I giggle. "Don't get loopy on me." He mutters and I giggle again. "Quack is what a cow makes." I say loudly and Roberts shoots me a look. I just giggle again.
He helps me into the bed and sticks an IV in my arm. As the pain meds start coursing through my body, he makes me drink another bottle of the liquid. "Go to sleep." He says and I quite promptly fall asleep.
"Nole, I don't think-" I sit up hearing his name. Roberts was blocking the door. "Let him in." I say softly and Roberts turns to me shocked. "Are you sure?" He asks. I nod firmly and he lets Nole in. Nole looks shocked but I motion for him to come in.
"What do you need?" I ask softly, my voice a bit hoarse. "I'm so so sorry." He says. I blush. "I'm sorry for beating you up. I'm sorry for turning Charlotte on you and not helping you stay here. I'm so sorry for giving you a panic attack. I-" I stop him from saying anymore by shushing him.
"Look I'm not mad at you. I get it, the rumors are pretty bad." I say and stare at my hands. "Are you ok?" He asks softly. "I'm sorry." I pull up my knees to my chest, muffling my words. "What?" He asks, obviously confused. "I'm sorry I can't be perfect like everyone else. Those rumors aren't true. I TOLD HIM NOT TO COME OUT." I said, my voice becoming more upset and louder.
"Damien, Damien. It's ok. I- I never meant for any of this to happen." He said his voice dropping to a whisper. "I love you. All of you." He whispered and my head shot up. I laugh and he looks hurt. "You like the idea of fixing me putting me in a golden frame with you. A golden boy." I spit out. He shrinks back. "Damien I-" "SAVE IT." I thunder.
"WHY WOULD I BELIEVE YOU. GOD DAMMIT WHY AM I HERE." I say my voice catching as tears fall down my face. He doesn't say anything as Roberts walks in and stares in shock. "Did you?" He asks Nole who shakes his head. "No I tried to apologize to him." Nole murmurs and Roberts sighs. "He, he doesn't respond well to stuff like that. All his life he was told the opposite." Roberts says, walking over and pulling the blanket over my shaking body.
"Don't go." I murmur my body rolling off the bed as I try to move. "DAMIEN." Nole yells and hold my body close to him. "Damien it's ok." He whispers in my ear. "He's in a feverish state. It's best to put him on the ground and let him work it out." Roberts says. I cry out and whimper. "Don't go. Don't go." I whisper and curl up sobbing.
Nole had put me down and I sobbed. "Mom, I said that I didn't. Please." I begged, vivid images passing through my mind. "I'm sorry." I choke out and shake, crawling to a corner and hiding. "JACK PLEASE." I scream my mind flashing to a different memory. "PLEASE HELP ME." I scream and beg. "Ja- Jack please." I whimper and my mind flashes to the worst memory I have.
"PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME." I scream and reach out for someone who isn't there. "Ple- please." I whimper and stand up running to the trash can. I feel the bile rising to my throat. I throw up the liquid. I cough and fall back, wiping my mouth. Roberts helps me up and I shakily stand.
"It's my fault he's gone. If I could have just gotten to him earlier." I whisper falling onto the bed. "No it's not." Nole mumbles and sits next to me. I grab his waist and pull myself close to him wanting to be close to someones warmth. I fall asleep listening to his humming.
