Haru burst upward from his chair and gave a solid stern look to Maribelle.
“What!? I’m not fit to be a captain!” Haru gasped. Puyru hummed.
“Are you defying the queen’s orders?” Puyru asked softly. Haru crossed his arms and frowned.
“No! But please reconsider Queen! I can’t form or lead an army. I can make bombs! That’s It! I’m the bomb guy! Why on earth would you choose me!?” Haru shouted. Maribelle shrugged.
“Honestly I chose you because you bothered to show up, I personally was gonna ask Filly Instead.” Maribelle replied. Haru put his hand on the table.
Lo grumbled and turned catching everyone’s attention.
“Hell. No. I’m not taking part of any war. I’m out.” Lo replied to the conversation. Maribelle looked worried.
“What? No, we can’t lose you, get back here!” Maribelle commanded. Lo shrugged.
“I’m the lost princess, Am I not supposed to get lost!?” Lo yelled annoyed.
Puyru appeared before Lo and closed the door.
“How di-” Lo stammered.
“Go back.” Puyru demanded. Lo grumbled and almost tripped on Silva as she stood up. She groaned annoyed.
“Regardless, the army doesn’t even like me.” Haru sighed.
Maribelle sat down and gave a smile.
“Haru. I know it’s a lot to take In. Truly. But I need you to do It. We are understaffed and out of time Haru. I know you can do it.” Maribelle encouraged. Haru sighed and looked away.
“Look I’ll try but It won’t be pretty.” Haru sighed. Maribelle nodded.
“I would not have It any other way. Haru go at once. Report at 2:00.” Maribelle announced.Haru bowed and nodded.
“Will do.” Haru replied. He turned and dashed out of the room.
“Puyru supervise.” Maribelle commanded. Puyru gave a cute smile, bowed, then vanished. Silva brushed herself off and looked at Lo and the queen.
“Anyways...Your majesty, lunch is ready.” Silva replied. Maribelle smiled.
“Perfect, let’s go eat.” Maribelle announced as she waltzed out of the room. Lo awkwardly scampered forward.
“I'm not eating your “Princess” Nonsense.” Lo said annoyed. Maribelle chuckled, genuinely as they walked. Silva casually walked beside them, not very graceful for one by multiple princesses. Lo pulled at the gloves on her hands, trying to get them off. They would not. They seemed stuck to her hand. She frowned before glaring. They descended down stairs. Lo tried not to fall and die with the gigantic dress bottom bumping and pushing against the steps.
Soon they wandered into a large dining hall with dusty tables and old purple banners with roses hanging on the walls. Silva bowed lazily.
“K, I’ll get the food.” She replied. She left. Maribelle took a seat. Lo awkwardly did to, despite the dress pushing her up a couple inches on the chair.
“I know you hate being here, and I’m terribly sorry you’re forced to remain.” Maribelle apologized.
“Whatever.” Lo said channeling her inner edge lord. Maribelle looked away.
“Tell me, I need to know. Did you have a home? A family? I need to know...If I’m keeping them away from you.” Maribelle asked. Lo frowned harder and looked at Maribelle.
“It’s fine.” Lo said softly. Maribelle looked away as Silva approached with a cart with many silver platters.
“Dark times lay ahead...War looms and-”
“War always looms.”
“Why yes but-”
“This ain’t gonna work. I’m not single handedly gonna stop war.”
“Yes but”
“As long as there’s greed. There’s war.”
The two remained silent as Silva approached.
