I hide in the shadows as they both look out the window before they slip out, both their heart rates fast. I knew they'd see me, shit. I think as I follow them in the shadows.

The female stops him when they get to tall grass before she crouches and she lifts something up. Sewers. I think as she slips down, the guy second before I hear the faint sound of the lid moving.

I head over and look down, hearing their footsteps get farther and farther away. I twist and pull the lid before jumping down, the sewers dark but empty. 

I look around, my eyes adjusting before I follow the sound of their faint footsteps.

"So, do you know what that was?" I hear him ask.

"I have no clue Ace," she says as I tilt my head, finally seeing them as they use a lighter to look around so I stay enough away from the small circle. His name is Ace huh?

I think as I hear him sigh, "It's like they just.....fell or somethin'. Then the scream? Snow, c' mon, maybe it was-"

"No one knows that house, so why would a bloodsucker attack us?" she snarls. I tilt my head to the other side, but where are they going? I think as they turn; rats scuttling around before the light from the lighter disappears.

I turn and see Snow on top of a latter, twisting a lid, "This leads us to the house," she says as Ace looks around a bit before Snow climbs up the ladder then he follows her before I hear a click of the lid.

I walk over and climb the latter, the house on the hill? Why would they go to a place with roughs everywhere? Do they have a death wish? I think once I hear their footsteps gone and I twist and pop the lid before I push myself up and crouch.

I slide the lid back before I turn, seeing the broken down house on top of the hill. Roughs crawl or bang on the inside as Ace and Snow watches them, their hearts beating rapidly.

"Sht, more than before," She whispers as Ace shakes his head, "I told you," he hisses. She turns to him and grins, "But that doesn't mean we aren't going." She says as I raise an eyebrow, death wish, big one.
