I WAS BLUE

To be or not to be

To be or not to be

Jun 14, 2019

“Oldrick please, don’t treat me like this, I went through hell to find you” she sat upright on the bed and was facing me now.

“But I went through hell to stay away” I said coldly. She looked as if my words cut right through her.

“I am sorry, I really mean it. I came here after discovering you’re alive, I thought you were dead and worst I thought my father killed you.” She said “Miss. Violet wanted you back and kept searching for you she initiated an investigation and they had a video tapped.” She was silent for a moment.

While I was enraged I had not notice she was struggling with her tears “My Father was threating to destroy your family and you disappeared after that and they accused him of killing you and ……. And we all thought you were dead.” She started crying.

“So that is the reason you came back to ask me to get your father out of prison, right.” I said with a cynical tone. “He humiliated me, threatened to destroy my family and ruined my life and you came back just to save him.”

“Oldrick Please! No” she stood “I came because I discovered you’re alive, I could not tolerate the past year with that much guilt, I couldn’t forgive myself for what happened to you” She approached me “I am really sorry” I looked away.

“Instead of acting you should tell them I live here I will gladly testify that I am still alive. Would’ve been easier than coming back to ruin my life in green.” I said coldly, I could not stay any longer. If I stayed I was not sure I can keep myself from embracing her.

I loved her but I shouldn’t, I wanted to hug her, tell her everything will be fine? But I couldn’t she did not love me and I do not think I could handle another heart break. So instead I broke her heart.

“I have work to do, you can stay as much as you need until you recover.” I left without looking back.

It was a boring day at work until three men wearing black came and asked for her, now her face was all over town and everyone knew her name she was a fugitive apparently, her father is on trial and she cannot travel or leave until they finish the trial and determine her final colour. When she left she broke the law.

If he was convicted of murder she will be a RED at once but if not he will pay the penalty for his other crime he committed and he will be eliminated from the task force. He deserved to be punished but I did not think she deserved such a severe punishment. I decided to testify, she was not that bad to me and surely she did not deserve to go to jail because of her father’s sins.
