Eric Chavez became a lighthouse keeper since their parents retired and hand it down to him and he accepted.. Though he soon became lonely, and even when they have two close friends, the loneliest from the lighthouse is consuming. To fill the loneliness, they distract themselfs, they write about their daily life and rips out the page, putting it in bottle and throwing it out to sea. Jylad is a merfolk who lives with their tribe and is soon to fill the role of the leader once their father pass, dies or retires. He loves the tribe but feels that such roll isn't for them and the pressure is too much. When they were near a few rocks to bathe in the sun for a bit he found a bottle. Out of curiosity they open it and read the letter. They were intrigue. And everyday they would go up to those certain place of the rocks to get the bottles and read it and soon fell in love with them. Will the two meet? Will Eric fall for Jylad like he did? Who knows that's, the point of the comic.
