"Wow, that was amazing!" Kate said. "My dad sounds awesome! I never thought he'd be that cool." 

Laughing Matter for once in his life thought really hard and realized something. 

He said, "Did you just refer to your dad as Slinky?" 

Kate nervously replied, "Um oh yeah well I kinda found some of his stuff and found out he was Slinky so yeah." 

Matter began "I see I see. Well, I'd say you're in trouble but by the time I get to the bottom of the stairs I'd probably forget about so let me just say this." With a big breath, Matter continued " I... totally forgot what I was gonna say. Ah well no matter it probably wasn't important I'm sure." 

Theo confused says "Oh ok well me and Kate are gonna go to the park so see ya later pops!" 

Theo grabbed Kate's hand and ran out of the room. They hopped into Kate's car and before she could ask for an explanation was told to drive to the park. 

When they arrive Theo points to a bench and when they sit Kate demands "What was all that about?! Why did you insist we go to the park?" 

Theo excitedly said "Remember what I was saying before? If we become heroes like our dads we could have awesome stories too!" 

Kate thought in silence for a while and finally said in a soft but confident voice "OK." 

She paused for a moment and continued "I wanna be like my dad. He never really looks at me like I'm grown and he treats me like I'm still a kid so I wanna show him I'm not anymore." 

Theo then asks "What should our names be? I don't think we should use our dad's names since those are pretty silly." 

Kate chimes in "I want to be Rose Thorn. It sounds pretty." 

"Excuse me? That's not good enough it gotta be more like Blooming Lillie." Theo said as he butted in. "I on the other hand will be called the exploding hippo." 

Kate gave Theo a disappointing look and said under her breath "I guess stupid runs in the family." 

Kate told Theo "'What about just Hip?"

"Yeah I guess that works but Rose Thorn is too long so how about shortening it to Thorn?" He said.

"Deal." She said.

Theo nodded in agreement and thus a new beginning has begun. A new dawn has risen and hope now shines for the residents who for the longest time have been in anguish and despair ever since Slinky and Laughing Matter hung their coats as heroes and left them defenseless. These young ones will grow to be the next greatest heroes but that does not come without its challenges. These teens have many obstacles to overcome such as new villains, stressful missions and perhaps even love along the way.
