Yuki -
I flop onto my bed, yelling into my pillow as my stomach twists and turns with weird mysterious feelings.
I recount the day, back to the fight. Trying to figure out what had happened.
~
I stared angrily at Monique, as Naomi's eyes began to water.
Fuck the pacifist route.
"Naomi, go stand by the wall. To your left, only a few ste-" I begin to instruct, trying to get her out of the way, only to have a loud shrill ringing interrupt me.
End of class.
I reach for Naomi through the crowd, trying to get to her, turning my back to Monique.
Through the crowd, I can only see a faint pink hint, heading towards the end of the hall.
Perfect.
I run towards her, pushing through the crowd, making my way towards the end of the hall.
As I reach outside, I see the pink once more. Climbing down the three sets of stairs.
I groan and run, trying not to trip as my heels click against the stairwell, pushing people - guiltily - out of the way.
We reach ground level, and I can see her being pushed towards the band room. Well, that's pretty convenient.
I grab her wrist, pulling her back as I shout her name in delight.
Only to be met with a complete stranger's confused face. Shit.
"I am so sor-" I am cut off with a quick shriek, and a fist makes contact with my shoulder, knocking me away from her.
A huge mass of femme fatale stands there, protectively in front of the victim of my mistake.
Ms. Muscle cracks her knuckles, giving me a look that says, Don't mess with my little again.
I gulp, noticing the matching marks the two shared.
Well, I was fucked. Never mess with a marked.
"You made a big mistake, love." Ms. Muscle states, and I awkwardly nod trying to explain.
I may know how to fight, but I also know not to mess with fucking She-Hulk over here.
"I-I was looking for someone, and they have the same-ish hair colour, so I thought- Well I mean, it's just that- I would never, ever touch your little deliberately like that, I am so sor-" Once again, my apology is cut off. But this time with laughter.
"Oh man, Loralei you messing with this girl?" She asks, turning to the small girl and jabbing a thumb towards me.
The small girl, whose name I presumed to be Loralei, sheepishly nodded before sticking her tongue out at me. Unbelievable.
A heavy hand is placed on my shoulder, as she turns back to me, giving me an apologetic look.
"I'm so sorry about hitting you. I'm Amiya, and this is my girlfriend, Loralei. She likes to show me off by pretending someone is trying to hit her." Amiya casually rubs Loralei's head fondly, before studying me carefully.
"Mm, Lolo. Apologize to her." Amiya instructs, and Loralei shakes her head stubbornly.
"I mean, you know what happens when you take that rou-" Amiya starts, and Loralei squeaks an apology before blushing.
I decided not to look into that, for my innocent's sake.
"I'm Yuki Kim. It's fine, I was the one who grabbed you on accident. It was nice meeting you two. Link me if you find her? She's short, pink hair, soft mocha skin..." I trail off, confused at my own explanation.
"A-and she's blind, so it might be pretty easy to spot her." I finish, and I can see Loralei and Amiya sharing a knowing smirk.
I blush visibly before sending them a link via WiFi and explaining to them where I last saw her.
As the late bell begins to ring, I wave goodbye, only to have Loralei give me a soft hug, before whispering quietly to me.
"Whenever I lose Amiya, I usually just stay where I am till she comes to look for me. I hope you find your little!" She winks before running off to stand by Amiya, and I blush once more.
"S-shes not my little!" I yell, and Loralei turns to blow me a kiss as Amiya casually picks her up into a piggyback, both backpacks riding on her shoulders as they disappear behind the hallway door.
I smile softly to myself before turning and running back up the steps, an odd feeling of hope and wanting buried in my chest.
