Official Synopsis:
Once upon a time, in a far away (under) world, there lived a demon. The demon prince to be exact. He grew up, rose in rank, and outwitted all who opposed his power.
At that time, everything went accordingly for him: strongest of demons, support from every clan, and the farthest influence anyone ever had.
He basked in the limelight up until the fight for the throne.
Unfortunately, his crown and his home were stolen away by the one he trusted the most. Since then, he has lived in exile in the farthest reaches of hell undisturbed.
Well, that was until he got summoned by some lowlife human.
Later, a timid human meets the ferocious demon on the other side of the portal. He seemed as weak as they come, thought the demon, he couldn’t have possibly summoned him, one of the most powerful demons incarnated from hell.
Yet, the demon is stuck with the boy, true summoner or not. It’s the curse of the summoning ritual. How will this new development affect our poor protagonist who’s scared out of his wits? And what can this boy possibly do to help the demon reclaim his honor?
A story of mystery, comedy, tragedy, and action awaits. (With a sprinkle of romance.)
Original Prologue:
Once upon a time, in a far away (under) world, there lived a demon. This underworld was a literal hell, but not quite. For this demon had a happy upbringing, or so they say.
Demon: “Yeah, yeah. My life was a travesty boo hoo. Let’s speed things up and get to the good part.”
The ferocious demon licks his lips in satisfaction, looking at the tiny figure cowering in the corner. The poor figure feels a heat blazing across the back of his neck, as if he could feel the hungry thoughts of the predator staring at his back.
Feeling remorse for the small human, the author interjects, “Hey, who’s the one writing this story? There’s a pace to these kinds of things, give it time.”
The demon distastefully turns towards the heavens, as if he could glare at the author through the computer screen.
“Hoho, you take your slow pace,” the demon says, a smug grin captured on his jade colored face. “And I’ll take my things my way. Good?”
The author inwardly face palms, regretting ever to create a demon with such a temperament as this, and one who isn’t fazed by his own embarrassing words.
Human: “Please, help me~”
The author, dejected that the hero of her story is rather… less than heroic, sighs. She then turns her attention towards his love interest, who looks as if he could be the villain.
The demon just smiles. “See? You’re stalling too much, you can’t even save the protagonist of your story. You can’t even finalize our names. Let me handle this.”
The author is shocked to the core as she watches her demon approach the hero of her story, grasp him tightly around the waist, and carry him over his head. With a lasting smirk towards the sky, the demon disappears in the blink of an eye, leaving the author speechless.
After staring at nothingness for a few seconds, the author finally comes out of her stupor.
Author: “Hey! Wait!”
But it’s too late, the two figures cannot be scene anywhere. With an exasperated huff, the author angrily types up the next few arcs, and some side stories. As she types she thinks, “I’ll show you who’s the writer of the story.”
And with that, that’s how this story is born: with a villainous love interest, a cowardly hero, and The Emperor's New Groove playing in the background so the author can concentrate.
And we haven’t even begun the first chapter yet.
