Miriam decided not to bring me to the party because she believed that Joshua seemed like a nice person to be around. I agreed to this since no one there would act like is was a normal day since you know I'm kind of on the run. But Seconds became to minutes and minute turned into hours, I knew that Miriam was going say their for a while but I felt lonely and since I've been living with her I never really felt alone. It was a party so I just waited, I watched the tv with low volume , I played board games that me and her would usually play on our spare time, and I even started doodle it was boring. Drawing was something I never really thought I was skilled I had the stills but I did have the love for It.

I sketched a city a happy one, something that everyone could live happy in. There was kids laughing, dancing, smiling, and just being kids. Something I haven't really seen before but I drew it. I sigh "Huh...Miriam, sure is taking a while for you to come back. But I mean it is a party people do take like to come back...right" I plop down on the couch and looked at the wall thinking of things that could happen to her, was she attacked...NO couldn't have happened, stayed at a friends home but why would she live me here thinking I would be fine or safe, or maybe she's with Joshua.

A few seconds pasted and then a knocked on the door come through my ears. "Karina" Miriam shouted. why the hell would she say my name out loud like that, has she gone mad. I walk slowly slow enough so that no one would hear me move. "Open the door please I forgot my keys" Miriam says, I was hesitant to open the door but what could I lose. I slowly open the door and...I regret doing such a thing. "Karina...huh" Joshua said. My body froze with my mouth shut fearing my words could trigger something. "Karina why so pale" Miriam smiles. Drunk...she was intoxicated. Miriam, someone I felt as those I could trust someone that made me believe I could feel safe someone...so why is that SOMEONE drunk before my eyes with a man who could have do things to ruin her life and mine as well. I stepped back shacked by fear thinking that this could be my last and hoping their was a way to escape. "Do I know yo-" I stopped Joshua from speaking "NO you don't know me I'm just Miriam's friend that she meant a few weeks ago...she wanted me to take care of the house while she was gone at the party she went to" I said this as I was going inside the kitchen acting as though I was cleaning but really finding a knife to protect my self if any means necessary "Is that so" Joshua replied "Your name and your face just rings a bell but maybe I am wrong" he laughs. I smile looking towards Miriam "How much could she have to end up like that" .

"Is she alright, maybe I'm supposed to mind my own business but she seems to look intoxicated" I then look at him "But beside that, how did the party go" I said. He looked at Miriam sleeping body then looked at me. He was walking towards me and had said nothing while doing that. "Why are you holding the knife like that Karina, you scared of something" Joshua looked down at me. This 6 foot something man looked at me like he know something was up. He looked at his phone then looked at me. "Karina...Karina...Karina" he said repeating my name. I heard a button press on his phone then pointed my knife close to his face. Miriam soon got up "Ugh...my head" Miriam groaned. As soon as I heard her voice I ran to her. "Hey you finally work up" I chuckle. "Oh my I'm sorry Karina I was so drunk I didn't...Joshua your here" her eyes started shifting around. I giggle trying to make the scene easy on her "He already knows I'm her to take care of your house...I know it seemed embarrassed to talk about it but I just had to tell him...you know so that he wouldn't think I'm just some stranger coming inside your house" I said. "Oh but you are" Joshua commented. "Karina you know what that name means, a star in the sky a strong bold woman who knows what is best for herself" Joshua seemed like he could go on and on about this talk, but I had enough of it. "So what are you trying to say" I get up from my seat. I quietness suddenly became incredibility dense, but once again there was a knock on the door.

"Karina run!" as Miriam said that I run but was caught by Joshua "It's crazy how you would tell someone who just taking care of your house to run after hearing a knock on the door" Joshua says as he grabs me tight. "Joshua you...how could you" Miriam says. I struggle to let him go of me, but I was just to little to be free. Joshua sighs "Miriam you lied to me, saying their was nothing to hid but hiding the runaway...you must be crazy don't you think that bringing her could bring back you daughter to you, I mean come on just think" Joshua says. Miriam's eyes widen "My...daughter but isn't she gone" she looks at him. "You don't know unless you try" Joshua says. The knocks became louder and louder "Miriam! Don't listen to him, once you daughter is gone theirs no way in hell they would try to give her back to you.." I try to talk more but Joshua grabbed on to me tighter. "Know your place you thinks hiding can help for, such a selfish person you are, you guys can come in now" Joshua says. The door busted down and shattered pieces were scattered around the house. "GET DOWN!" a man screams and orders me to do so "Miriam..." I whimper. "Thank you Joshua, this was a tough job but you did it" the man says.

Miriam looked confused but somehow she grabbed on Joshua and slapped him "you son of a bitch I shouldn't never let you in my life" she cried. "Miriam it seems like you not thinking of the bright side of this" Joshua grabs her hand. "There is no bright side" Miriam says "My daughter is gone and I thought to myself their was no hope in living without her, but then Karina came...it's was like a falling angle" tears flowed down Miriam's faces "I'm sorry Karina" she whimpers. Two men pulled me up and took out something I've never seen before. "What is that..." I asked. "Oh this. Just a little something so that your eye's my never see this world again" The man laughs "Kid, this is you punishment you shouldn't have stayed where you belonged, but don't worry Ted.co will give you new eyes for you to see" he says. My eyes...No my eyes shouldn't be something to take away No this shouldn't be a punishment...Miriam, MIRIAM...I'm scared. "NO... don't touch me!" I scream "MIRIAM, Joshua....why must this happen" I cry. All I could feel was pain, all I could hear were my screams, and all I could see were Miriam...fading away from my sight...But then gun shots. Then pain went away and I could see again, I look around and blood away on the man he was trying to make me blind. The two men that hold me done were dead and...Miriam was holding a gun at Joshua.

"Miriam...HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND" Joshua shouts, looked down and noticed a piss stain on his pants. "Karina...run" Miriam says "I know theirs more coming...they might kill me or take me away, but I want you to be safe okay" Miriam looks at me then smiles "Miriam no..." I start to cry, I didn't want to leave her here she needs me right...don't want her to be in such danger. She was to me then grabs my hand "At first I thought of you as a person I could replace my daughter with...but no you were different you were someone the filled up my heart again, you made me want to protect you and made sure you were safe but now you need to go" She then hugged me. "I'm gonna miss you" I mumbled "Me too" Miriam let go and then I ran out of the back. All I could hear were sirens coming from all around the city...looking for me. But I ran. I saw a crowd and went inside of it hoping they would see me. "You two run other there!" A man order two men to find me at the area I was at. I ran faster and faster and didn't look back. At this time there was a alley and I decided to go through there. It was a dead end. "No damnit" I look around for anyplace I could jump to go to, nowhere. I tried to hide so that no one could find me, but where. "Hey you okay" I hear a sound underneath me, It was a little girl. "You need some help lady." she said. I look around wondering if she meant someone else. "Hey hurry and come down here, I hear them coming" she said franticly. Without second thought I follow her down the sewers. I was dark but at we went down I saw light, then we started walking. Where was she taking me.
