I stared wide eyed at Tatsuya, his beautiful features holding no expression as he met my eyes. I glanced at his bleeding wrist, the blood dripping down onto the sheets, and pressed my back firmly against the wall. Tatsuya moved his wrist closer toward my face, and I turned to avoid him, a look of disgust and distrust written across my face.
"W-why?" My voice squeaked out an octave higher than I would have liked.
"Just drink it," his eyebrow lifted and he looked a bit amused at my reaction.
"N-No... thanks..." I whispered as I turned my gaze away from his.
"I wasn't really giving you an option, but if you have to know, it has healing properties," he saw me still hesitating and added in a bit of a condescending voice, "Do you need me to put it in a glass... would that make it easier for you?" His amused expression became more prominent as the corners of his mouth tugged upward.
I eyed his wrist and evaluated my options in my current state. I had already consumed multiple unknown substances tonight, been brutally stabbed twice... I probably wouldn't lose much by just agreeing to his demand. On the other hand, if I don't, he could lose his temper and I really didn't want to be at the brunt of his anger again tonight.
I reached up an lightly clasped his forearm, his freezing skin making goosebumps travel up my skin. I gingerly brought his wrist up to my lips, winced and closed my eyes, expecting the worst. I opened my mouth slightly and surprisingly warm blood slipped past my lips. I drank in a bit more and the blood flowed down my throat with a euphoric and tingling sensation. The taste was unlike anything I had ever expected, and I gripped his arm with more vigor and involuntarily pulled Tatsuya closer to me as I continued to greedily consume his blood.
I heard Tatsuya gasp softly and I felt him starting to resist. An aggressive feeling flowed through me as I bit into his skin and took more blood. Tatsuya slammed his other hand against my shoulder, causing my shoulder to crash into the wall behind me, his hair cascading around us. He grabbed my hair with his free hand and yanked my head up, and I reluctantly released his arm, a bit of blood escaping my lips and sliding down my chin.
I looked up at him with glazed over eyes, dismay in my expression. He returned my gaze with an unamused look, his cheeks slightly flushed, as he glanced at my legs. A warm, calm washed over me and a tingling sensation spread across my skin as the blood began to flow through my system.
Before I could investigate my wounds further, Tatsuya spoke, "Rest here." He hurriedly moved off of the bed and turned away from me, hiding his face with his long, flowing hair. "I will be back. If you attempt to leave, I won't be as nice when I catch you. Not that you'd be able to make it out of here..." He added that last part under his breath as he made his way to the door.
A feeling of crushing exhaustion washed over me as I watched him exit the door and secure it in place. Head spinning and unable to think clearly, I drifted down onto the bed. His suggestion to rest filling my mind and all I could think of was fulfilling his wishes. His happiness seemed to suddenly be my only desire. As I lost consciousness, Tatsuya was all that filled my foggy mind.
