"So, we meet again," the boy's blue eyes glowed with joy. A smirk decorated his face. Yurika couldn't believe her luck or it was more of bad luck. She was placed at the same class as the boy who was so delighted to find her as his new bully toy. Jace Ursa that was his name. Even without the company of his minions, his presence alone was enough to make her other classmates scattered away from where she sat.
"I guess so," Yurika pulled up a stiff smile, "well you have heard my name when I do a brief introduction before. What else can I do for you?"
Jace's brow rose up at how calm the girl. He was expecting her to be more intimidated. He was expecting to see fear on those fuchsia eyes, instead, he saw annoyance.
"Well, you could start by following me. I have a fun game planned for you," Jace said as he put his hand over the girl arm and his eyes sending silence threat, "consider it as a welcoming gift for our new student. Prepared by me the king of this academy, you should feel honored."
Yurika glanced at the hand on her right arm, how he clutched it hard and painfully. She kept her face straight and calm as her eyes returned gazing directly to the intimidating blue eyes.
"Only me? How about the others?"
"Of course if anyone in this class wants to join, I would gladly invite them too," Jace turned his attention towards the people around him and gave out his best smile, "the more the merrier."
Yurika glanced at the other classmates but obviously, they knew what Jace's typical of games. They either avoid direct eye contact with her or just made their way out of the classroom. No one wanted to be dragged into the situation she was in now.
Yurika sighed, she didn't want trouble. She had her portion of trouble already and she had made a promise not to cause another one in her new school. But seemed that trouble loves her.
'I guess I could just play a bit with this boy. Nothing too much that will stir any suspicion.' she thought to herself as she glanced at Jace once more. Her lips twitched a bit as she tried to suppress her excitement.
'Well, a little exercise wouldn't be so bad right? I need it after all...' With that in her mind, she smiled gingerly at Jace.
"I guess just me who's going to the welcoming party."
"Oh, don't worry. I got my friends to join the fun," Jace snickered a winning glee, "let's go then."
"Now? we still have class after this break," Yurika quipped.
"What class? If I say now, it means now," Jace put more pressure on his clutch over Yurika arm, "or do you need my help to take u there?"
Yurika smiled and put her hand over his. She then sent fire magic quietly onto his hand. The heat started to brush lightly at first as she escalated it in rapid speed. It forced Jace to let go of his grasp. His eyes glowed with anger as he knew that this girl wasn't afraid of him and challenging him.
Yurika stood up casually as if she hadn't done anything wrong, "okay then let's go. Lead the way. I hope the game will be fun. If it is boring, don't blame me to leave early."
Jace growled, "oh trust me, it will be so much fun."
He then walked in front of the girl and signaled to follow him. The other students who saw the whole conversation started to whisper worriedly as they watched Yurika walked behind the golden king.
The moment they left the classroom the school bell rang, signs of the end of recess time. The school hallway became empty in a short time, the roar of the recess hour replaced with silence. The dark marble floors were echoing their footfalls as they walked past the school lobby toward the backyard field of the school. Suddenly a strong gust of wind blew hard on Jace. It didn't touch Yurika. The wind rounded up dust and sand all over Jace, making him blind. As he tried to break the wind magic, someone's hand grabbed Yurika's and dragged her away from Jace perimeter.
"Run!" a girl's voice pulled Yurika attention as she turned toward her kidnapper. Her blue hair danced with the wind as she pulled her in full speed sprint.
