It shouldn't take that long to print an x-ray, Audiney pondered, What's taking so long? He rubbed his eye and yawned, stretched, and then slouched. He did not feel bored, yet he was beginning to feel worn out, despite he had been sitting for well over a few minutes. Another minute went by, and he rested his head on his hand, waiting. Another minute, and his weariness evolved to lethargy. Heavy, heavy lethargy. Maybe he could catch a small amount of sleep if he closed his eyes for the remainder of his time. He blinked. His eyes felt like weights had been tied to his eyelashes, making it a challenge to keep his eyes open.
Audiney then perked up. Why was he feeling so tired? This was... unusual.
Dr. Vin came back into the room. The sound of the door suddenly swinging open made Audiney jerk awake. He shook his head and directed attention to Dr.Vin and the x-ray papers.
"To begin with, your power looks like it's in good shape," Dr. Vin spoke, "We need to work on this border here, so I recommend you try to get some training at least a few times a day to strengthen that power and keep it under control. Right over here..."
He kept droning on and on. Audiney felt drowsy again, interrupting his attention span and focusing more on the fact that when this appointment is done then he could go to bed. That is until Dr. Vin noticed he was nodding off.
"Did you get enough sleep last night?" he asked, "If you want, you can take a short rest here and we'll get on with the rest of the procedure later on in the day."
Audiney refused to hesitate, and finally succumbed to his unnotified lethargy. He fell to his side. His head flopping against the tissue paper on the bed and loosened his muscles. Incredibly tired, he fell asleep hearing some last words from the doctor.
"We'll see you in a few hours."
