If that was really the wolf then how come he and I are one now? Did that

 wicked woman manage to kill him? I get up off the floor. Taking a deep

 breathe in I click on the video to play more.

 “Remember how important these experiments are to us. Humans will

 reign over all species. I will kill all who oppose us wither they be human or 

not.”

 The woman’s wicked smile could be seen as walking out of camera. The man

 in the tank was hooked up with what looked like forty wires directly into his

 bones. It made me sick to my stomach. The wolf was an asshole but no on

e deserved this treatment. Not even thinking I walk over touching the

 remnants of the tank. 

“Poor wolf...thank you for all the help. I will fix what was done.”

 I walk back over to the computer sitting down placing my necklace on it. It

 started to copy all files in the system. I will make this public one way or

 another. It might take time since the only place to do a world wide broadcast

 is the main city of the Elders.

As I return to the kids everything just kept going through my head. If it was

 the same wolf then did I have the same ability? Then the thought crossed my

 mind about all the big cities....was the dampener from the pheromones? If

 that was the case then how could I possibly get rid of them all. Just making

 those go away would allow so many in-humans to finally fight back. I wasn’t

 naive enough to think no lives would be lost in this war. Bren took my hand

 seeing the look in my eyes.

 “It is okay let’s leave this place. The dead need to be left alone.” 

They both nodded to me. The climb back up felt almost unreal. I wanted to 

be able to put all these dead people to rest. Somehow I knew it had to do

 with the wolf why that place looked frozen in time. At the top we removed

 the mask taking in a breathe of fresh air.

Kibo walked over giving me a hug. She had buried her face into me as

 nuzzling. I gently patted her head. Patting their head seemed to be my go to

 for letting them know it was alright. 

“Let’s get out of here before anything happens. I will talk about what I 

found when we are pass the ruins.” 

They nodded as we jumped up the sides of cliffs. After a few hours I sat down

 on a rock. Bren and Kibo stopped walking looking to me confused.

 “This is a good place to rest. I found a video of a wolf who was being

 experimented on. They said his pheromones could control even other

 Alpha’s. There was a woman in it as well who seemed to hate anything

 non-human. To be honest it makes me sick to my stomach thinking about

 it. This could be the cause of everything...but the video didn’t show more

 then that. I have a feeling that we are still missing key facts to what

 happened.”

Bren leaned against the rock across from me smiling.

 “We will find them Lain. Don’t forget that Kibo and I said we would help

 you.”

 Kibo jumped into my lap smiling. 

“Yes, we are here to help you. You gave us a family...that is something so

 precious to us both.”

 I couldn’t help but to wrap my arms around Kibo smiling. 

“Thank you both.”

 We sat there just enjoying the silence for a while. It was relaxing although

 my mind was still going a million miles a minute. After a while we started to

 move once more. This area had trees with purple leaves, red bark, and green

 roots. When I learned how ancient trees looked this seemed really funny. It

 would probably scare ancient people. Once night fell we set up camp near a

 river that was about ten miles from the nearest people. That was what I

 thought at least. Not far away from the river there was many people who

 watched Lain’s group. None of the people watching appeared to be human. 

They wore a special herb on a necklace to block their scents.
