Such a cliffhanger, she react to what? to him used her body or to her decision to act now, a consequence or a decision?.... So useful conclusions they got, they are that special part after so much advances that cannot be replicated, so probably can't be known and can't be manipulated so that could be a reason to destroy it; still there are so many holes to fill....

For reasons unknown, a crew of six wake up from a cryogenic sleep inside a space ship controlled by an AI a thousand light years away from Earth.
All they have is portions of memories, and they find themselves wearing strange biotech suits called S-kins. The S-kins seem to have a specific role, but for some reason the crew's bodies are slowly rejecting the suits. Now our protagonists must find out what's wrong with the suits, who they really are and, most of all, how to save their lives.
