It was an early Saturday morning, and Maria was on her way to the town of Black Hallow. It had been a long night for her and she needed to head home to wrap up some personal business.
Maria Ralmenez had always been a traveler, ever since she was young she could remember her father happily taking her to new places. He passed on his love of adventuring to Maria, as she always adored his knowledge of towns and the forest. She too wanted to know all sorts of things about everything and everyone she could, and had always been a fast learner. But learning about people and who they are takes longer time to learn than it does to learn about a town or city. So she never really had any permanent friends. The only friend she ever really had was her father and mother. Her mother stayed in Black Hallow and trusted Maria's father to keep their beloved daughter safe.
As she approached the town she felt a wave of nostalgia wash over her, and she didn't dread being there as much as she thought she would. She wanted to see what the town was like now versus when she was a child, and she could hardly wait to learn about everything that went on there while she was away.
As she entered the town she noticed her favorite store, Del's Delectables, which had been around before Maria was even born. Her father and her would always buy their favorite foods from there, and despite the name sounding as though you could only buy food there it was also partly a tourist shop. "Food in the front, knickknacks in the back" as Della, founder of the shop/restaurant, would always say.
Maria walked inside the shop and walked over to the cash register, and food ordering place and pickup for to go orders.
"Maria!" Louis cheered, as he always did when he spotted Maria around the town, which wasn’t too often. "Louis!" Maria cheered back, imitating his accent and arm movements and smiling like a doofus. "Aw cmon, you know you love my accent. All the ladies do." Louis said. A slap was then delivered to the back of Louis's head, and a gravely voiced from Maria's left.
"Yeah, sure they do. You look like a girl yourself with that pony tail," Fisher, Louis's co-worker, smiled, "I bet you can only charm your hamster."
"Shut up you two, I'm just here to order some shrimp fried rice." Maria informed. "I'm on it!" Fisher exclaimed, finger-gunning before hurrying into the kitchen.
Okay guys, this is the end of the first page and I'd just like to say that im hoping to update every Friday. Each episode is basically like a page in a book with the title being "Ch.1 pg.1...pg.2..." then it'll change to ch.2 when the time comes.
