In the blink of an eye, Elizabeth found herself walking Jusin through CharterField Elementary. The school was just as nice as every house in Justin’s neighborhood. The school’s campus was close to spotless, all the office workers were nice and understanding, the nurse was gentle and good with kids. However, Justin was far too young to care about that. He only cared about the playgrounds. The playground floor was covered in soft pieces of foam and the monkey bars weren’t too high. There were enough slides for all the kids to share, instead of getting crowded. Under the slide area there was a sandbox with a play kitchen and toy dump trucks. The outdoor eating was great too. Every table was round and had 6 chairs connected to it, along with soft seats and proper umbrellas that kept the tables from getting too hot.
Justin loved it and his new teacher, Mrs. Litia. Her hair was in a short bob and her bangs came down to the bottom of her eyebrows. Her hair was dyed a light pink and she had round white glasses. She wore pastel tops with black pants and white converse. Her room managed to smell like candy and look even sweeter. The desks were organized in groups and Justin was excited to sit in group 3 and make friends with everyone who joined him there. He met a few of his new classmates, during his tour. One of the people he got along with the best was named Victor. They started playing chef and chasing each other across the foam covered playground, while Elizabeth got any paperwork or supply lists. When they left the school Justin was sad, but he was even more excited to start off his first year of “big kid school”. He was six years old and ready to take on the world! He was ready, up until about two weeks later...

“Justin!”, Elizabeth yelled as she tried to pull Justin out of bed by his feet, “It’s time for school!” Justin gripped tightly onto the rails of his bed, “It’s too early! I’m tired!” Moon’s ears perked up as the yelling woke him up. Elizabeth let go, “Fine.” Justin let go of the rails and Elizabeth grabbed him, before he could grab onto his bed again. She carried him to the dining room and sat him in a chair. He pouted for a minute, but brightened up the minute he saw small rainbow loops poured into his bowl. He ate quickly and rushed into his room to throw on a new outfit. He ran out to the car, but had to run back inside and struggle to grab is lunch box. “Moon!”, Justin yelled and Moon came running, “Get it, boy!” Justin pointed at the box and Moon happily put his paws on the desk and gently grabbed the lunchbox and ran out of the house with Justin. Justin begged his mom to let Moon come with them and after a few minutes she gave in and they all drove to CharterField.
When they arrived, Victor and Justin met up and started hanging out daily. They were considered the most popular kids in kindergarten. Victor even had a older brother that introduced them to people in first and second graders. They were truly the most popular kindergarteners.

They hung out everyday in school, but never outside of school due to bus parents. When the day came where they could actually hang out, they pounced on the opportunity. Justin had cleaned his whole purple room and Elizabeth had helped him make cookies. He was literally jumping with joy when he heard the doorbell ring. He bounced up to the door and the second it was opened, he wrapped his arms around Victor and received the same treatment back. Victor said goodbye quickly and when he was told the cookies were for him and Justin, he grabbed 3 and bounced onto the couch. Smith was still showering, so the TV wasn’t in use. They turned on their favorite show, Hanhab, and proceeded to stare at the screen for the next hour. By then Smith was done getting ready for the day and wanted to watch a bit of the news, before he headed out for work. He usually didn’t work on weekends, but today was an exception.
Justin and Victor decided to go play in Justin’s room. Justin ran into his room and went straight towards his toys. Victor however, stopped dead in his tracks as he entered the room. He looked around for a bit and Justin questioned him, “You okay?” Victor looked around, “Purple?” Justin cocked his head, “Huh?” Victor smiled a little bit, “Your room is purple?” Justin grew shy and nodded slightly, “What’s wrong with that?” Victor laughed, “Purple’s for girls!” Justin was confused, “Purple is for anyone.” Victor laughed again, “Pink is for girls too!” Justin picked up a toy car and chucked it at Victor’s face, “Stop being mean!” Victor flinched as the car hit his cheek. He held back tears, but apologized and joined Justin on the floor. Justin sighed, “I’m sorry…” Victor sniffled, “I’m sorry too…” Justin gave Victor one of his small toys as a way of apologizing and the rest of their visit went decently. Victor went home and took the toy with him. Luckily, his face didn’t have any marks on it from the car chuck incident.

About a week later, Justin got to school slightly late, due to it being Moon’s seventh birthday. When he arrived in class and sat down in his seat everyone in his table group got silent. “Guys?”, Justin shyly asked. The girl next to him perked up, “What do you want, purple?” The whole group laughed and a boy across from him spoke sharply, “What are you? A girl?” They all continued to laugh and Justin’s face felt hot. His throat began to burn and he refused to let them see him cry. He ran out of the class and was taken to the office by a school aid. He got lectured and received detention. He was too shy and hurt to tell them why he had left, so instead he got a call home for ditching.
When he got in the car his mother greeted him, before saying, “So mister, why did you try to leave school today?” Justin frowned and said, “Victor is a jerk.” Elizabeth didn’t understand how his best friend was no longer his friend so she asked what had happened. Justin explained and when they arrived home she gave him ice cream and they gave Moon a bunch of treats. Justin went to bed happy, til the next day when the teasing continued. It went on, til the school year ended.
