Can we talk about how Hatori is just too good? He's already assessed her boyfriend for the garbage he is and I'm pretty sure neither wants, or expects that this will get them back together. I'm betting, like me, he hopes that she'll realize the guy (Kaoru) isn't committed and break it off after this. BUT
He doesn't present it to her that way. He draws it out like she still has a chance things will work out the way she hopes even as he actively 'knows' otherwise. Because he's that nice.
