I waited, sitting at the table. He's supposed to be here. There's no way he would miss our date. He even reserved a table for us. The hours dragged on. I'm sure he'd have called by now. I wait a few more minutes. I looked out the window and can't see his car in the driveway. He doesn't live too close, he HAS to use his car. Maybe he asked for a ride? I asked around in case he had gotten here and accidentally not seen me. No one's said they'd seen him...
"Why? Is something wrong? Is he okay?" Amelia, one of our friends, whom was currently attending a date of her own, asked slowly. I shrugged.
"He forgot about our date? It's possible..." I pondered aloud, sounding extremely doubtfully.
"He wouldn't do that. I'm sure of it. He's completely head over heels in love with you," Amelia argued. I looked back to the window. Suddenly my phone rang. I quickly picked up, hoping it was Caleb calling.
"Are you Caleb's girlfriend?" an unknown voice asks.
"Yes," I replied.
"Something's happened. You should come right now," the voice said, stating an address. My heart stopped at these words. It was a hospital.
(A/N: This is a short story, only a few chapters long. This is the end of this chapter. How was it? I know it's incredibly short. It honestly bugs me. I have a lot of drafts saved on this account and most of the chapters are 1000-2100 words if not more. I am stepping out of my comfort zone by writing )
