My mind flew to last Christmas. I thought of his mini-speech for me. He bent down on his knees first and stated, "I want you forever, forever and always. No matter what. I want to grow old together. If you're not ready, I'll wait. I'll wait forever for you. I will wait until you give me the honor of becoming my wife." Tears sprang to my eyes at the memory. I nervously touched the promise ring he gave me on that fateful night.
I thought of all the small, stupid fights we'd had over the years and how they all ended with us apologizing and falling asleep together on the couch. This brought a wistful smile to my face.
I pulled up at the entrance of the hospital. I let in a sharp intake of breath. Please, let him be okay. I don't know what I'd do if something happened to him... I walked right up to the front desk. Amelia, our childhood friend, led me down what seemed like a million halls. She talked about what happened but I can barely hear her. I was distracted, thinking about what could have possible happened.
"I'm sorry, Iris. There was a car crash... They might have gotten there too late... Jason and Luna are already here. Jason was with him, thankfully. He might not live," she informed me. I winced at her tone of voice. It sounded extremely doubtful.
I try and actually, miraculously, manage to keep a straight face as I walks into the hospital room my boyfriend was situated in. I walk up to his bedside and hold his hand... too tightly. To the point where it was almost painful.
A/N: Was this okay? It was a little sucky, in my opinion. Votes are greatly appreciated! Go ahead and comment!
