Gish: My tendons don't like to stay in place, and many of them are split or swollen. However, to the untrained eye, my hands look fine. It wasn't until I saw a hand surgeon familiar with EDS to know the extent of the damage, and why it's so dang hard to hold stuff.
Gish has a disability called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a genetic disorder that causes the body to have faulty collagen (which is EVERYWHERE. Gish's joints and digestive system are majorly affected causing widespread pain.), along with a handful of the rare conditions that go along with it; these include but are not limited to P.O.T.S. and Interstitial Cystitis. With the help of Sizlak, they approach this horrible combination of genetic diseases with a little humor in doodle format.
