Now, honestly that was a lie. I'm not satisfied. I thought this would be fun. I did this to escape my boredom, not keep it. What am I doing with my life? I want to explore the world and enjoy myself! Living at the bottom of this shit hole of a colony isn't enough! I'm sick of it! I'm still a freaking driver! Why of all things did they want me to keep being a driver? All I do every single day is drive the "important" people around to different parts of this underwater hell-hole! I don't wanna be here anymore I just wanna go back home to Earth, but I can't. I've signed my life away to driving political figures and brilliant scientists around. But of course I keep a happy face and obey their every order, I still need their money after all.
As I drove my tiny car sized submarine through the clear, deep waters of Aquain-437's sea, I entered a port with a high class signal turned on. I saw the purple flashing light of the port's airlock and slowly pulled up as the port side extended and attached itself to the left side of my sub. The airlocks opened to each other, the pressure difference caused a slight breeze to blow into the sub. Someone stepped toward the airlock.
"Hello Mr. Gjalund! Where will I be driving you this afternoon?" I said with my fake smile.
"Take me to the Defense Committee Headquarters in the Aquinaria Zone."
"Yes sir, right away"
Mr. Gjalund entered the sub and I pressed the button that shuts the air locks and separates me from the building. The doors slowly closed and the building's arm detached itself as it retreated back inside the port wall. Steadily I began to move the sub. Without tilting, I began to move up to not make the ride uncomfortable for Mr. Gjalund. I quickened my pace and spiraled around the Aquinaria Zone's tallest building where the Defense Committee Headquarters were held. Now I've never been to the Defense Committee Headquarters, but I know it's the most beautiful of all the buildings in the Aquain-437 colony, similar to the old world structure known as the Mode Gakuen Spiral Towers that were in Japan, except this tower is more than a mile tall. I was so focused on the tower that I almost didn't notice the huge mass of algae looming far behind the structure. Suddenly I heard a ringing sound. Mr. Gjalund picked up his phone.
"Hello Mark Gjalund here," he said.
"What's happening?" he said sounding more desperate.
"Are you kidding me?" fear and sarcasm were in his voice.
"Shit! Driver, move faster!" His voice was so fearful I just followed his direct order without even thinking.
I drove the sub up really fast, then realized why he was so afraid. The Aquarian Gigawhale was right there. Its scales and fur glistening in the white light of both the sub and the Gakuen Spiral Defense Tower. Its white teeth so huge. Its mouth opened and like a vacuum everything was swept in. The sub started moving slower and then began being pulled into the monster's mouth. Is this the end for me?
