Ace's POV

I bite my lip as I watch the sky, it's been a week since he kissed me. I think as I look at my hands, I've also felt the urge.....am I.....what am I? I think as I frown before I hear him come in from behind me, sitting down next to me.

I glance at him before looking away.

"So um...." I trail off as he hums and looks at me, his hood over his face so I only see his mouth. I feel my heart hammer in my chest as I look away, "Why.....was that the only way to..."

"Are you talking about the kiss?" he asks as I bite my lip harder and nod. He gives a light chuckle and shakes his head, "Yeah, or I'd have to turn you," he says as I look at him, "About that, what am I?" I ask as he tilts his head, humming.

"You are still human but also have a vampire in you, were any of your parents' vampires? Where you ever bit?" he asks me as I blink, my eyebrows furrowing, "N-no, I don't think so," I say as I rub the back of my neck.

"Are you sure?" he asks as I nod, "Y-yeah," I say before he nods and reaches up, taking off the hood as I see his hair is dirty blonde; his eyes a bright blue. I blink and start at him, he's.....hot....I think before looking away.

I see him smirk before I look away. I shake my head as I look up at the sky, the sky littered with stars. I smile and lean back, watching the stars as he looks around before grunting as he stands, "I need to feed," he says as I look at him, "Feed on me," I say before I feel blood rush to my face.

"No,"

"Why not?" I ask as I tilt my head.

"I could kill you I will not hurt you, too risky," he says as I bite my lip and sit up, grabbing his hand as he looks down at me.

"Please?" I ask as he stares at me before he kneels and takes my wrist before looking at me, "Are you sure about this? I may not be able to stop," he says as I nod slowly. He looks at my wrist before he moves my wrist to his lips and I feel a slight pinch.

I grunt and jump slightly as pain shoots up my arm. I bite my lip and close my eyes before I sigh softly. I slowly feel me lose blood as I look at him, "Maverick...." I say softly as he grunts and keeps drinking.

"Maverick stop!" I yell weakly as his eyes open and he rips his fangs out my wrist. I yelp in pain before the wound slowly heals. I look at him as blood drips from his lips and chin before looking down at my wrist.

"I told you," he grumbles and stands before heading into the house as I reach out for him before pursing my lips as I bite my lip. But....I think before I feel something link in my head.

I shouldn't have...I hear his voice in my head. I blink before looking in the direction of him, seeing him with his head in his hands. I shake my head and lay back down on the roof.

I need to get back in the city. I hear him think as I look at my wrist before I lick it slowly, feeling it tingle against my skin. I blink and look at it, my sight turns red as I see a slight spot of blood I must have licked.

I feel my chest pound as I inhale sharply, the need for blood filling my head. I.....

"M-Maverick," I say softly as his head snaps in my direction before he appears next to me, "What's wrong?" he asks as I swallow hard, my throat dry as I cough slightly.

"I need......blood," I say tightly as he blinks before he heads back into the house before reappearing next to me with a blood bag. He hands it to me as I rip the top open and drink from it; the thirst slowly going away before I look at him, "I want more," I state as he shakes his head, "That was all I had left," he mumbles before I cough and go to my knees and jump off the roof.

I hear him curse as I start running, everything going blurry as I run before I see a dear as I charge and rip into its throat as it gives a startling noise and squirms; kicking its legs before it stops, hearing his heartbeat stop.

I stop and let the dear drop before I look at my hands; my eyes widening, "What....what have I done..." I think before I feel a presence behind me. I turn, seeing Maverick as he puts his hands up, "It's just me," he says slowly as I swallow and look back at my hand before I hear a loud scream and seeing roughs as they circle us.

I hear Maverick curse again before unsheathing one of his blades as he comes over to me; pulling me behind him as I bite my lip and look around, "I'm sorry," I say softly before turning as I start running. 

Shit....stop running damn it! I hear him yell as I shake my head and keep running to soon find myself running toward where my old home used to be in the old city. 

I stop by the cracked wooden stairs as I sink to my knees and bury my face in my hands before I shake my head, "I.....I'm a monster.....I didn't want to be this way...." I say softly before I hear a twig snap as I turn to it, seeing a woman as she looks at me; her hair tangled and knotted as mud covers her face and blood covering her clothes.

Her eyes sparkle with blue and grey as I look at them before my eyes widen, "M-Mom?" I question as she slowly walks over to me, tilting her head as I see black pulsing veins in her arm before seeing one of her eyes like a rough as I grunt and back up slowly.

she isn't....I hear Maverick say as I see him behind her, his katana at the ready as I bite my lip. She leans over before I see her hand twitch, "I...m....so...rry..." she says as my eyes widen before she stops walking and screams.  I scramble away before seeing the tip of a blade go through her heart as her scream cuts short.
