Brunt is the character of a long time friend named... Brent. It's funny, there are a few characters who have similar names to their real life names. *cough* Aaron *cough* I mean Aarondell.

Brent was one of the OG players who started this purely Dwarvish campaign with me almost three years ago. When I tell people I run my own home brew campaign, just about Dwarves, people usually look confused as to why I would prefer that, to say, Elves? He was stoked from day one and has been excitedly helping me evolve the world with enthusiasm ever since.

That first session was hilarious and fun as I handed out extra cloaks and robes for everyone to wear. Some wore wigs, some had jewelry and wands. Brent. Brunt, was cloaked and ready to role play the hell out of the grumpy old wizard, who over the years sat in the background watching the city and people he knew change.

It's a lot of fun to order pizza and answer the door in a wizard's robe. It's even better when the person delivering the pizza sneaks a peek in to see an entire group of people dressed as spell casters and warriors. Good times!

Though Brunt has been a pivotal character in our game play sessions, I didn't directly write his character into the comic, yet. As I am a comic noob, I didn't know how to write such a short paged book with as much as I'm cramming into the pages, and include another wizard-like old Dwarf. So I chose to hold off and include him in the second book. (wink)

Thankfully after Rachel's inspiring submission of her character, Sorli, Brent was excited to contribute his own version. Likewise I too was excited to doodle a page for him!
