(Finch's point of view)
I was muttering every curse word I could think of as I tried to get this cheese and glass out of the carpet. I just kept scrubbing but it was no use. I'm going to need to replace the entire damned carpet. Fuck. I chained Peta to one of those things that you attach dog leashes to. The ones that you screw into the dirt outside like a bog corkscrew. I decided to keep her out there until she says sorry. It's supposed to rain tonight. I checked though and it could only be a light shower for an hour or two. I hope she doesn't get sick or anything. She did do it to herself though. Throwing that bowl into the wall was unnecessary. I sat on the couch looking out the backdoor window chanting "I don't care" and resisting the urge to go out there.
(Peta's point of view)
After I threw that bowl at the wall Finch chained me out in the backyard like a dog. I always feel so bad for dogs that pretty much live outside. I wouldn't do this to a dog. She said I wasn't coming back in until I said sorry.... Well I'm gonna die out here because there's no way in hell I'm saying sorry. I laid on my back staring at the clouds until it got dark. Then I looked at the stars. They're really pretty. The second the sun went down the temperature went well below freezing. I curled into a ball to try and stay warm but it wasn't doing anything. I was laying on the cold ground with only a shirt and some sweatpants on. I tried convincing myself it wasn't that bad. It wasn't that bad, really. It could be raining.
As if on cue cold rain started pouring down. Each raindrop felt like a small rock. "Oh come on!" I was drenched in seconds. I was so cold I felt like I was burning. I couldn't feel anything. I tried to protect my head. My skin started to feel raw after being beaten with continuous rain. A while later my body stopped shivering. My muscles were too exhausted to keep shivering. Just as my vision started to go dark I faintly heard the back door slam open and within seconds I was unchained and carefully picked up into a warm pair of arms.
