Chapter 6: Letter

When I returned to my room there was a strange package with a letter on my bed. It was from Kenji Eto, Bakusui little brother and my best friend. When Bakusui adopted me I guess I had been living with him for almost a year and a half. It was then that he told me that his little brother would be living with us. Bakusui never talked about his family so I was surprised to learn that he had a little brother. Over time we began to become good friends, so when I left for Crystal Academy he wanted to come with me. Part of the reason I left was because if the problems I caused. Besides I wasn't any help and here at least maybe I'll find some way to restore my powers or memories. I read the letter before opening the package. It said:

Dear Mika,

I know that it's to soon to be writing you, but if I didn't tell you before hand you would've killed me. I've enrolled at Crystal Academy as well. You have some right to be mad, you made it perfectly clear that you didn't want me there. The thing is I've been enrolled there since before I was born. Look I'll explain it later when I arrive. But the short story is that I'm not human. Truth is my whole lifes been a lie, the only thing that was real was our friendship. See you soon.

Kenji was coming to the academy, this time there was nothing I could do to stop him. He was a year older then me, we spent most the time auguring or fighting. That's what our relationship was auguring and fighting. There were times when I would get into fights at school (like every other day) and he would be there to help me. Other times I would be upset and he would be the only one to notice. Kenji was the closet thing to a brother that I had, that's really what I saw him as older brother. With him coming here there's no way I'll be able to concentrate on my research. I'll have to avoid Kenij, if anyone knew that we know each other it'll cause problems for Kejin. I may close myself off from everyone else and choice not to have friends. But those so few people that are in my life I care about them and will protect them.
