Mike was 13 when his mom and dad got divorced. he left with his dad and was never suppose to see his sister ever again but 5 years later when Mike's dad was not home someone knocked on his door. Mike saw his sister on the ground sobbing. She was kicked out. While on the other side of the river Nick was having a argument with his dad. His dad did not like that he was gay and that he was a disgrace to the family name. That night Nick ran away from home but he had no where to go. 

2 hours later when Mike went for a walk with McKenzie (his sister) when the new that McKenzie was a lesbian. Mike stopped in his tracks and cried. McKenzie was brave an of to come out but he still could not tell anyone about his love for boys and not girl. They walked past a guy on the bridge that was sitting on a bench when McKenzie went up to him and asked what was wrong. the guy answered with a simple "things are complicated." he gave her a small smile and looked down. McKenzie looked at him and said "I was kicked out of my mom's house because I am lesbian" she sat next to him. Nick looked at her "how old are you?" he asked McKenzie answered "10. My brother is 17." Nick smiled and pointed at the guy looking at the river near McKenzie. McKenzie nodded, Nick smile "well tell him this" he leaned in and whispered in her ear. McKenzie got up and started to walk with Mike again "Mikey?" McKenzie asked with a smile. "yes" Mike answered. McKenzie started to tell Mike what Nick told her "there is a nice guy who is eighteen years old and he would like to meet you at a coffee shop three years from now" she looked at him "when I am twenty" Mike said with a sigh "I will but I will not bring him home. They went home and Nick went home to face his dad.
