I traveled
A couple of miles
Away from the Kingdom,
And eyed the colorful
Schools of fish
That tangled through
The breathtaking corals
That stood tall
On the ocean floor.
But it wasn't long
Before the bright and liveliness
Of the sea
Was replaced
By a deserted waste
Where the rays of sunlight
Pierced the dark blue colors.
My stomach knotted.
I knew what was going to happen
Yet I stayed
Until I spotted
The small
Ghost Jellyfish
That appeared out of thin air.
“Damn…” I clucked my tongue, examining the hundreds of tiny speckled creatures that were scattered around me.
With a blink of an eye
The Jellyfish
Began to grow rapidly in size,
Engulfing the emptiness.
Their ash white tops
Nearly reached the surface
While their feathered oral arms
And silky tentacles
Created an impenetrable forest
Of Oblivion.
“You’re a pain in the ass you know that?!” I shouted, dodging the soft looking arms that attempted to touch me.
Quickly
I backed out of the forest
Until I heard a laugh
Echoing out.
“Adolescence!” A husky voice shouted.
Pushing through
The long feathers
Was what King Tsunarius
Have deemed
An Aberrant,
Something that should have never
Been created.
The Jellyfish King.
