Dear Nyarl... I met a nice red lady today!

Yes, she is a Tiefling. Now, I-I've heard of scary things about Tieflings in the past, my mother would often say they would eat me if I misbehaved.

So at first, I was very nervous around her... until she patted me on the head.

Her name is Kallista, a Tiefling Bard. I never understood what a Bard really was, until I met her. She is always seen carrying an instrument, singing and laughing amongst her friends in Blackstaff Towers.

The song she sings, are very sweet... yet bitter at the same time. Almost as if re-enacting the highs and lows of a lovely romantic story... Hmm...I wonder, what joy and pain she went through, to make her songs feel genuine?

Regardless of her sharp red skin or ram like horns, she is a very kind soul.

Whenever we have no missions, she would teach me how to sing and read musical notes. Although, I confess I'm not very good when it comes to vocals. D-don't get me started with playing the flute. I'm bad at it, viciously so.

I mean, Lady Kallista is an excellent flute player. She knows how to put it to her lips, give it a gentle whistle, her finger touching the right pedals, her palm holding it to make it look like it's floating in her hands...

.....I grip mine to tight, almost strangling it. And I accidentally bit on the tip with my teeth (it hurts). I often found myself choking on the pipe, when I put the flute in too deep... I make a lot of noises too, which is embarrassing.

Sigh.

I'll never be an good flute player like Kallista ........................................
