Theory time! This relic - as an ancient thing - Is a D&D book. Something that exists in our real world. What if - hear me out, hear me out! - What if Bubbly Parfait is set on a future version of our reality? A war must've happen that almost dezimated the human race (A.K.A us) and made the few survivors go through genetic modifications that mixed their DNAs with those of animals. Hence the new species that recovered and thrived after the armagedom are all half animals. The goverment,or the High Tiers, is covering the fact. This also will explain the D&D book. It's a relic of the time before the war. Our time. Also, I'm thinking that only the inhabitants of this city are half animals. What if those people that Regina blew up a few chapters before were actually normal humans? Questions, questions and more questions...
