His crimson eyes scanned over the horizon slowly. Studying every millimeter of the landscape. It was nothing really interesting. Just flat dull lush green grass in the twilight. Occasionally a small butterfly will flitter by slowly and catch his attention for barely a second.
He was sitting on a wooden park bench looking out to the broad sea, the air heavey with the scent of fish and salt. Dressed in his usual black pants, shoes and black jacket with two white straps and a white shirt underneath. It was like a uniform for a high school no one knew about. But something was off about Akiio's figure. Around his right wrist was a handcuff with only three loops connected to it. And his earring was missing from his right ear lobe.
But wait, what the hell is he waiting for?! Why's he so alert?
Ah yes let's turn our attention to nothing but the dull plantinum blond sleeping at Akiio's feet. Passed out on the pavement in several punk-styled shirts and dark cargo pants with two studded belts around his hips, one just for show, Seraphin had been invited to go out drinking with a group of friends. Akiio tagged along as the bodyguard, mute and anti-social as always. Seraphin had dranken too much and on the walk home passed out, complaining that it was too early to go to bed.
Akiio sighed, nearly sitting here for two hours waiting for the lug to wake up. Hangovers were dumb. People who had them, worse. His boss having one, was like a death wish.
Several hours after sunset into the freezing spring night, Seraphin woke up with a large yawn and sat up.
"Why's it so cold?"
"Outside," is all Akiio said softly. He stood up, kicked Seraphin's side.
"Ouch! I'm up!" Seraphin bellowed, standing up, sounding still somewhat drunk.
Akiio studied Seraphin for a brief moment before walking back toward the small apartment they were staying at. Seraphin whined and followed. Half way there he started to sing some drunk-enduced song. So annoyed, Akiio's red eyes flickered as he glared ice over his shoulder to Seraphin. The drunk idiot didn't even take notice of it.
A crack on the pavement near by.
Akiio stopped, looking around at full attention. Like a cat sitting still to listen to some bird that's caught it's attention. Seraphin walked on a bit, singing like an idiot. He stopped and turned to Akiio, walking back.
"Hey? What's the matter?" he asked drollily.
Akiio glared at Seraphin. "Quiet."
"Why? Something up?" Seraphin asked, looking around. "Who is it? I'll knock them silly."
Akiio moved to slap Seraphin when the sound of a shot fired rang clear in the crisp air. Akiio shouted loudly as the bullet pierced his left forearm between his two bones.
Seraphin turned to look at Akiio before he was shoved down with a rude command, "Down!"
Once Seraphin was down on the ground eating the cement, Akiio made a quick dash exactly to where the shot was fired. He tackled the figure in the darkness, grabbed the gun, aimed with exact precision and fired the gun between the man's eyes. He dropped the gun, stood up and walked back to Seraphin, who was just sitting up.
"What'd you shove me for?!" Seraphin shouted.
"Up. Leave." Akiio stated softly, looking around. Another click on the pavement and a small needle hit the back of Akiio's neck. "Ah.."
"Akiio?" Seraphin asked, standing up. He blinked in shock as Akiio toppled to the ground just as Seraphin stood up. "AKIIO!!" Seraphin knelt beside him.
Akiio was breathing heavily. He shifted and yanked the needle from his neck. He rolled it between his fingers in front of his red eyes. "Heavy sedative..."
"Aki...?" Seraphin asked worridly.
"Three hours..." Akiio answered, closing his eyes and went limp.
Nervously, Seraphin lifted up Akiio. He easily remembered any time he touched Akiio he'd get a WWF smackdown, a fling across the room or a chair banged onto his head. Akiio didn't do anything, completely asleep. Seraphin let a small smile come onto his face as he carried Akiio bridal style to the apartment.
It wasn't easy getting into the apartment, but once he did, Seraphin gently laid Akiio onto the only bed. He removed the jacket and shoes, putting them by the door and came back to look at the handcuff on the left arm. He noticed the bullet wound instantly and bandaged it after cleaning it thoroughly.
Gently he tried to pry off the cuff, but it wouldn't give. Seraphin sighed heavily, and gently began to brush through the black hair.
"Heh if he were awake, I'd be dead by now." Seraphin whispered with a chuckle. He frowned after a moment, brushing Akiio's hair by his ear to the side. "Wake up soon..."
He blinked, noticing Akiio's earring gone. Sure he had hardly noticed it to begin with, but it gone leaving just the pierced lobe was odd. Seraphin was sure a person who pierced their ears would wear a stud or something in them to keep the hole from closing up.
Later in the night Akiio sat up sleepily. His crimson eyes studied his new surroundings intently. The apartment, he concluded quickly, noticing Seraphin's body-matching hole in the bathroom wall- patched by a long towel. He inspected his left arm, noticing it bandaged and then looked past it to Seraphin. The blond was laying with his arms crossed and head plopped upon them at the edge of the bed while his knees were supporting his back from the floor, asleep like a rock.
Akiio raised a brow, noticing Seraphin's smiling expression. "Huh, he's smiling," Akiio whispered.
"Hm... A full sentence!" Seraphin said, merged with a yawn. He sat up and stretched. "Hey Akiio, that sedative thing wear off?"
"Alcohol?"
"All gone. I feel fine." Seraphin nodded with a big smile as he stood up and sat overly close next to Akiio, who scooted away instantly. "Where'd you get the cuff?"
"Prison." Akiio answered, looking away, but his face blank.
"What were you doing there?"
"Report."
"On?"
"Murder."
"Oh... When was that?"
"Two days."
Seraphin bapped Akiio up side the head with his palm. "What the hell were you thinking?! I didn't give you permission to go there!"
Akiio rubbed his head, staring at Seraphin. "Accident. I witnessed it, they needed my report."
"And if they come back?!" Seraphin whined, sounding more strict than anything. "I can't believe you'd move on your own without asking me first!"
"You were in school."
"What class?"
"The one you like." Akiio stated.
Seraphin sighed heavily, noticing the expression in Akiio's face. "Argh! I'm sorry for shouting... You just.. Leaving like that makes me really concerned that you're not being careful to take care of yourself!" He blinked, "But why do you only have one cuff?"
"....I... wanted to try them on and got stuck." Akiio answered, looking away again. "Filed the loop."
"So why is it still on?"
"Can't remove it.."
"It's stuck?"
Akiio nodded. Seraphin sighed again. "Man... You sure have odd curiousities... Anyways.. Oh, right, how's your arm? Better? I tried to clean it good." Akiio nodded again, which made Seraphin smile. "Didn't you have an earring?" Another nod. "What happened to it?" Akiio blinked after something made his eyes flicker and he slapped Seraphin across the face. He stood up suddenly and backed away.
"OW!!!" Seraphin yelped, standing up, one hand to his throbbing cheek. "Akiio! That was uncalled for!"
Akiio glared pure death. Something about that earring set him off like a timebomb, filled with anger.
Seraphin noticed the hate in the red orbs and slowly stepped toward Akiio. "Akiio.. Let me... See... Your ear.." He took slow steps toward Akiio, pinning him against the opposite wall before he gently moved the black locks of hair hiding the lobe.
Akiio closed his eyes tightly, turning his head away. "No..." he whispered.
Seraphin looked at Akiio's face for a brief second before inspecting the lobe closely. Akiio shivered and began to tremble. "It's swollen... Akiio... Why'd you take it out?"
"Dropped it..." Akiio answered, trembling even more.
Seraphin leaned forward, nuzzling Akiio's skin below his ear and moved lower.
"Ah.. Don't...touch me..." Akiio whimpered, slightly moving his arms up.
"You'll be fine. It's me, Seraphin.." Seraphin whispered, his breath flowing over Akiio's neck and collarbone. Seraphin gently began to kiss at the skin exposed and down to the edge of the black shirt on Akiio's chest.
"St-" Akiio begged, gasping for air.
Seraphin stopped Akiio by kissing the small hallow of the center of Akiio's collarbone. Akiio froze for a second before shoving Seraphin back onto the bed.
"Jerk!" Akiio cried, hugging himself tightly. "I said not to touch me!"
Seraphin sat in shock for a moment before getting up and walked back over to Akiio. "I'm sorry... I just... I want to be able to touch you.. You don't have to be scared of me..."
"Sick people like you... Always think you can touch and own whatever the hell you want is disgusting!" Akiio shouted, sliding down the wall and curling up on the floor. Seraphin knelt beside him. "Didn't listen..."
Seraphin sighed, gently resting his hand on top of Akiio's head. "I'm really sorry... Want to sleep in the same bed tonight? Maybe being hugged might--"
Akiio glared up at him instantly. "Pervert!" He shoved Seraphin away, got up, went to the bed and lay down, pulling the covers up. "First come, first served! You put me here so it's my turn!"
Seraphin laughed, "Yes but... Hey full sentences~ <3"
"I'll show you a full sentence on you grave stone." Akiio threatened. "Rest in peace, a$$!"
Seraphin pouted, laying down on the sofa and pulled up the spare blanket. "You're crueler than normal when you're mad.."
"Quiet~!"
Seraphin closed his eyes falling asleep. Akiio rolled onto his side, facing away from Seraphin.
"You asleep?" Seraphin asked a minute after the room was quiet.
"Talk once more and I'll change peace to pieces."
Seraphin took the threat literally, and went to sleep instantly.
