SupportAn author that has focused primarily on writing novels and novellas with homosexual males as her main characters since 2006. A large portion of her stories began their way as methods to get out of writer's block. In late September of 2011, work began on the idea for a new world that would encompass a creative idea of how life and death cycled between each other. This became the groundwork that would within a few weeks give rise to Nearly There Nicely's cycle of life and death, and how the gods played with the human soul.

Hi! My laptop got borked over during all of Feb, so I need to double check what's been set to auto-update. I'll be addressing stuff in the next week-ish! (basically ntn updates)
I just noticed that The Flying Bunny OG isn't up here! I have my attempt at trying to re-write it started here, but not the actual original story itself. {ponders} I'm thinking of popping up on here, since it is a finished novel. Let me know if you're curious to see it :D It's kinda sci-fi fantasy stuff, with a fair bit of darkness and mystery.
Hello, lovelies! I've kicked my butt in June and got NTN book 4 all printed and out! And just today, I finished getting three more novels all done and formatted, and sent to the printers! I finally feel like I have air to breathe and can write again! <3
Hi! I've been sick with a virus for a few weeks and haven't been able to write OTL I'll be working on it soon ish!
Real life has been very chaotic since November. Writing has been minimal to none. On the upside, I am finally getting treatment for my achilles tendon!
Everything seems okay! I wanted to make a note proper - I want to hopefully release "my King" as a novel! I'm thinking I'll release it as a Hardback. I'll let you know more as the plan progresses!
I have spent the last two days repairing my computer and ordered a harddrive as a back up incase it's dying and needs to be replaced. Thankfully, it does seem to be... working?
Oh my god, literally my computer shut down on Sunday night while I was writing for "my King" and I am terrified to see what was lost from what I was working. I do have auto-save turned on, and the recovery turned on, AND I paranoid save every few seconds anyway... I hope it's all okay!
I have also finished NTN book 3 and it's available for purchase on Lulu. I'll be working on book 4 here soon! I'm also playing with the idea of doing NaNoWriMo this year and hammering out as much as I can of my King during that month!

So aside from my main computer being.... problematic, let's say. I'll be focusing on finishing up the proofreading for Book Three for NTN hopefully this month. I'm a little worried about formatting the cover because Lulu changed how they accept files for it. //dreads and fears//

I've come to the harsh reality check that my desire to EDIT my novel(s) before putting them into book format has created a never-ending loop of procrastination. I don't want to put my brain into "creative mode" because it's harder to edit, and I don't want to go into "edit mode" because it's harder to create. Thus resulting in overall, nothing getting written or done. I have thoughts and plans for Nearly There Nicely moving forward, and for a moment I thought that my procrastination stemmed from a plot point involving Crow. When, in this past week, I realized it is not that at all. It is purely my desire to "edit book 3 and book 4" before continuing to "create" has suffocated almost all creative writing energies out of me. I cannot suffer this anymore. I will proceed to quickly skim and edit as I re-read Book 3 and Book 4, as I convert them into the files for printing, but I will not do the "deep editing" that I had done in books 1 and 2. I cannot suffer not creating in order to edit. Creating, writing, must come first for me.
To this end - please look forward to hopefully less issues with writing from me going forward. I have sought out a new printer, and will be contacting them this week about an issue I ran into with Lulu (which is why book 3 at the least will not be printed through them - nothing to do with their quality. Simply that they cannot print special characters I need).
Barely There Nicely fans might have more time to wait before updates come again. I may be able to hit the ground running with it, but honestly, the story for that takes place after events in NTN, and so to move forward... properly and not have retcons or something crazy happening, I might need to put that on more hiatus. For me, personally, that is fine because it was never meant to be a story larger than NTN. It was always intended to be a fun, small story for Alexander.
I will continue to utilize (Campfire) and (My King) for writing slumps. I look forward to writing for you all! <3
