An exercise in generalization can be a form of self-defence. Not that Lieutenant Schtarz is literally wearing a grey coat - flamenry uniform happens to be ochre - but he’s a soldier in the Halcian army and so a greycoat in the metaphorical sense. Meanwhile, Colonel Lamorie is finally getting some much-need attention.
