I bite my lip as she moves my hair from my face, her eyes a bright green as she hums, “he’s a jerk, I know. Hard to believe he’s my best friend. Chin up,” she says as I tip my chin up more. She smiles softly, “you look better, new clothes, a hair cut and new wraps,” she nods.
I nod and look down, “th-thank you,” I say softly as she hums, patting my head. I flinch slightly as she looks at me, “no one will hurt you anymore, I promise. Lemme just call this jerk and I’ll see what we can do, yeah?”
I nod before she hums, heading into another room as I look around; the walls almost velvet-like as the bed dips from underneath me. I hear murmuring in the other room before speaking louder. I bite my lip and pull my knees to my chest.
“Damn it, you are a jerk! Leavin’ a poor girl with me!” she huffs. The door flings open as I see Dravon annoyance on his face as his tail sways lowly, like a cats tail. His hair is messy as sweat drips from his chin, a small puddle of black liquid at his feet.
I jump as I look at him, seeing Jasmine glaring at him, “I fixed her up a bit,”
“What happened?” I ask softly.
“Hunter,” He says annoyed as he looks at Jasmin. Jasmine snickers and takes my hand, pulling me over to him, “Fix him up. Don't ruin my floors,”
He looks at me as he raises an eyebrow. I blink rapidly as Jasmine chuckles.
“You really are a mess,” I say softly as I look at him.
He sighs as he walks past me a long cut going down his back as black blood runs down his back onto the floor. I cringe as I look at it. His tail sways behind him violently as he walks over to Jasmin. Jasmine huffs as she works in the other room. He sighs as he turns facing me.
I blink before looking away.
“What?” He asks his voice rough. I shake my head and head back to the bed, sitting down on it.
“Drav, come here,” Jasmine calls. He sighs before he goes where Jasmine went.
“You’re a jerk, you know that?” she grumbles. He grunts “what?”
“You’re a jerk, just gonna leave her?”
He growls “I had work and just imagine what would have happened if she was with me”
“Leave her by herself? C’mon now,”
He gives her a confused look. “I left her with you”
“You could have left her by herself in the house,”
“So your mad because I left her with you?” He growls before turning waving her away.
“I’m mad because you didn’t seem like you cared about the girl!” she says, following him. I bite my lip and look out the window.
He spins around as he growls. “If I did not care for her then why did I give her my circle? I’m not getting paid for this Jasmin. If I did not care I would have left her there in that house. She does not have a contract with me”
Her eyes narrow slowly, “You just threw her onto me, I didn’t know anythin’ ‘bout her until I asked her!”
He growls before he spins around walking towards the door. “Your right I don’t care,” he says his tail flipping violently as it hits the ground creating a blue spark.
I jump slightly as I look at it.
“Wow, yeah, just leave. You always do Dravon,” she jeers. He walks out of the door slamming it behind him. She sighs and rubs her forehead before looking at me, smiling softly as she comes over, “I’m sure he’ll be back; he always is,” she says as I nod slowly.
I watch the moon as I lean against the window, something so big can be so beautiful. I think as I yawn softly, rubbing my eyes as I look back out, yet such a lonely world if you think about it. I think as I sigh softly. I see yellow eyes appear in the darkness by a tree.
I blink and make eye contact with them, tilting my head. They appear to get closer before disappearing. I blink before I shake my head, sighing. I turn, heading to the bed before laying down and close my eyes as I sigh softly.
I wake up slowly, the sun starting to pierce into the room as I feel eyes on me. I blink before rubbing my eyes, looking around. I see Dravon in the corner slightly hidden by a shadow. I jump, “holy-! Dravon!” I say, putting a hand on my chest. He looks at me not moving or saying anything. I get out of the bed, running a hand through my hair, “what are you doin’ here?”
He does not reply as he stands. I blink as I watch him. I see Jasmin peaks out from her room and looks at me. “You okay?” She asks.
“I…..yeah,” I say as I look at her before at him, noticing him gone from his spot. I blink rapidly before I look around, “wha…..”
I don’t see him anywhere, making me shake my head.
“I’m goin’ nuts,”
“Why? What happened?” She asks as she steps out of her room.
“I….thought I saw Dravon, guess not,” I mumble. She sighs as she looks around the room.
“Sorry,” I say as I rub my head. She shrugs before going back into her room. I head over to the window, looking out at it. I see the forest as birds chirp, I see the outline of a small deer peeking out from behind a tree.
I blink and look at it, smiling. It eats the grass as I see a small fawn standing next to the deer. I watch, humming softly. The deer's head perks up as I hear a noise before they start to run. I raise an eyebrow and tilt my head. I see a black shadow form of a panther.
I watch as I blink. It stops and looks at me threw the window his eyes a piercing yellow. I tilt my head, pretty. I think as I watch him. It turns before it starts running again. I hum and I head to the kitchen.
