I'm taking chances because I've learned nothing will change if you're always standing still so I will no longer let the one in my mind keep me in place I'm taking chances

I'm taking chances because things have changed and I want them to keep changing I want to keep moving toward a different future than the one I thought I would have so I'm taking chances I dye my hair completely blue it was always something I wanted to do but I let anxiety stop me I've gotten help from my friends set me up with some guys because I want a relationship but I've always been too afraid to try and I always let the one in my mind convince me no one would want me but I'm not letting her stop me anymore I'm not letting her tell me these painful things and when she does I have the strength now to tell her and know that it's lies I'm taking chances because I'm okay with not being in control because I was never the one who need control it was the one in my mind I'm not letting her have control anymore so no matter what she says I won't let her stop me I'm taking chances
