It took the two wandering around for a few minutes before they found a sign that led them to the sick bay. The nurse inside, dressed in green cotton material she called scrubs, showed them to a tiny dark room inside her area. Once Julian fell on his back on the floor of the room, he let out an immediate gruff sigh. The nurse chuckled at seeing his face relax right away.
“You're not the first one to love my little invention.” she smiled broadly. “It's a stage laid on various magnets, so it stabilizes across the ebb and flow of the entire ship.” She crossed her arms. “Everyone'll be wanting one on ships as soon as it takes off.”
Alexander's eyes went wide as he looked over to the nurse. “Will it cure the sea-sickness?”
“Goodness no,” she shook her head as she waved a hand past the blond. “It'll just ease their trip. Some stay for a few hours, some only need moments of respite, and some need the entire trip because they're just too sick otherwise.” She leaned over Julian as his breathing hadn't stabilized. “Hmmm, I'll get a cup of water for him. I'll be right back.”
As she turned to leave the tiny room, Alexander took a step after her. “Wait, can't you just use one here from your office?”
“Water too cold or too hot in someone's system will just trigger them to vomit.”
Julian chuckled huskly. “What's wrong, quack? Don't want something to mob up?”
She smiled widely as she leaned into his line of sight. “Only if it's blood.” After threatening him, she waved to Alexander and stepped out with another wave.
