After finished getting the study material for Ken, I saw a plush, it a medium size rabbit plush, it has red eyes and a cute mouth like it is smiling, and the thing that draws me to it is it is pure white and so fluffy, with a sitting pose, its very pleasant to hug, even for adult like me. The tag price is S$8, so expensive, my gosh. I should use my money wisely, but in the end my personal preference wins the match, I ended up buying the plush for Ken.

S$307, I spend S$100 for a day, how can I live here for months, lol, this is such a crazy place. I went to the mini market on the 3rd floor and get two bottle of 2ltr water, several packs of potato chips snacks and chocolate cookies. I saw they also sell cup noodle, S$1 for two cups, cheap! Finally something with tolerable price.

But we need to eat here if we are going to eat cup noodles, coz there is no hot water to cook the noodle in our room. At the end of my shopping, I am left with S$302. I went back to our room in hurry, Ken must be surprised with the plush, hope he likes it.

“Ken, I’m home.” I said and I’m getting another warm hug as my ‘welcome back home’.

I kissed his hair softly, and take him back to the bed, “Don’t run while your body is full of bruises.” I scolded him.

“I brought you some books, I will teach you how to read and write, and I will even let you go to school if you want? Do you want to study at school?” I asked.

He looked at the books, it is shown at his face that he is interested with them, but he shook his head to me, “No, I don’t need to go to school.” He clings himself to my arm.

“Are you worried about the money?” I asked, I know that Ken is more mature than his age, he knows too much of painful reality for his age. “You don’t have to worry about stuff like that.”

“Are you new here sis?” Ken asked, “Did you get a loan for all these?” His expression darkens, “You can’t get a loan for all these, you have to return them.” He said.

“I am new here, that’s true, but I did not loan any money for all these stuffs, I pay them with my own bills, they are expensive that’s why we should save up.” “But I also don’t want to see my lil brother can’t read or write or even can’t go to school to study when he needs to.” I smiled at him.

“So do you want to go to school?” I re-asked the same question hoping for a different answered but Ken still insisted that he doesn’t need to go to school. I decided not to force the idea because he probably needs time to adept to his new lifestyle with me.

“Oh, that’s right, Ken, I bought you a gift.” I took out the rabbit plush, “See, isn’t it is so cute? You can hug it when I went to work.” I handed the plush to him.

Ken’s big round eyes are glued to the plush, he looks so happy, I’m glad I bought it, it will accompany Ken when I need to work. I myself really want a notebook, but getting one will be too expensive for now.

“And also, this, the watch, so my working time is 8 pm to 7 am, for that time, I won’t be around at home, you need to be a good boy and take care of the house, can you do that Ken?” I asked cheerfully.

“Yes sis!!I love you so much!” Ken replied.

“Now since I have time, let’s starts with Alphabets.” I opened the small tables and starts teaching Ken the Alphabets, after 2 hours have passed, I noticed Ken is actually a smart boy, he managed to learn until L, such a smart boy should go to school, or so I thought, I opened the water I just bought and bring the white melamine cups I got for us, I pour two glasses of water. “From now on, you drink this water okay? Don’t drink from the sink, its not good for your health.”

Ken didn’t reply me, but he finished his glass without a word, I put the glass on the table and decided to take a nap since its only 12 pm. Ken joined me on the bed and he slept soundly in my arms.

This place is naturally cold, there isn’t any fan or air-con here, this place must be build under the ice or somewhere cold, and getting out here means I need to calculate the temperature when we reached outside.

In my wildest dream it didn’t even cross my mind that I will get such a companion here. I am here as startdust, that’s one of the reason I’m still okay with taking Ken with me, but if I need to live as CM out there, he will be my weakness, he will be the target to get me on my knees.
