As everyone was in denial about the start of a war, Tchulima ran away from home. Four years later she is shooting, stabbing, and fighting through bombed out streets in what would be the bloodiest and most horrible battle of the conflict:
the Battle of Ergassa.
Her worried father writes her a letter whenever he can.
The President made the big announcement. Wearing shorts is now illegal. This sparked civil a war that lasted for seven years. Kordurrói is the story of the people that lived and died through that war; the soldiers, the leaders, the artists, the young ones, the farmers... No life was left untouched.
