(Peta's point of view)
I woke up with painful burn marks on my neck. It took me a minute to realize Finch was curled up next to me. I froze so I didn't wake her. I reached my hand up to pull at the dumb-ass collar. It had become a habit. But it wasn't there.
I carefully got out of bed and searched for it. It was on the floor in the bathroom. I quickly formed a plan. I picked up the collar and carefully put it around Finch's neck. It locked with a satisfying click.
I leashed her to the head bored. Since Finch couldn't see the keypad it would take at least double the time to unlock it and come after me. I left the bedroom quietly, locking the door behind me. My goal wasn't to stop her. It was to slow her down as much as possible. I practically ran down the stairs. I was out the front door in less than a minute.
Making sure to lock it behind me. I knew running along the road would be to easy. So I ran into the woods in the complete opposite direction. If this doesn't work i'm just gonna knock her out and run in a random direction. Like the people do in horror movies. Except i'm not going to just hit her once and just assume she's unconscious as I proceed to run and trip at the last minute. Anyway I better get moving this is going to take awhile.
