“Hey!” Julian shouted. Alexander's heart practically jumped out of his chest as he was started out of his daydream. The brunette was twisted over so he was facing the noble without actually being upright; one arm was bracing his weight in this awkward position. “Don't space out, you fucking moron! You want to get kidnapped?”
“Wh-what?” Alexander flabbergasped as he tried to contain his nerves from Julian suddenly yelling at him. “S-someone'll do that?” His head swung right. “Someone's here?” His head swung left.
No one was there.
They were still alone in the dark room where Julian was recovering from his sea-sickness with the strange magnetized floor.
“Fuck.” Julian cussed, rolling so he wasn't facing Alexander anymore. “Go back to the room.”
“But–” Alexander's soft word was cut off right away.
“Can't you hear me? I said I'm annoyed with you. You're boring. Leave me the fuck alone.” He curled into a ball, moving his arms to cover his eyes from any light that might be poking in and bothering him. “Stupid blond.”
Frowning, Alexander looked down to his hands. After a few seconds, he tensed his lips to stop himself from saying anything he might regret – or that Julian might hear. Quietly, he stood. He set the cup of water on the floor next to Julian's head. “Here,” was his soft word. As soon as Alexander got to the door to leave, he bit his lower lip to stop his words. He opened the door, started out, and then his hand wouldn't let go of the door.
“I'll wait for you in the room.” Alexander said softly, too afraid to turn his head to look back at his ill knight.
