A knock sounded at the door as Spencer was on the stairs. He tilted his head in curiosity. He covered his body vanished from human sight and he easily floated towards the door and phased his head through it. His eyes widened as he saw Isaac's face staring back at him obliviously. Spencer phased fully through the door, and Isaac drifting slowly past him. He turned around staring at little Isaac's back Spencer popped into existence once more, dropping his invisibility filter. Just as Isaac was about to knock Spencer from behind said,
"Hey, you sure are easy to sneak up on." Isaac jumped and turned towards him hurriedly slightly flustered. He crossed his arms across his chest defensively. Spencer stuffed his hands in his pockets casually and smiled softly at Isaac.
"That's actually what I'm here to talk about." Isaac responded in a lower voice.
"People are sneaking up on you?" Spencer asked in confusion his brows turned upward.
"No. You keep vanishing. I know we just met but there is little things about you that don't add up." Spencer tried to conceal his face like a poker player but failed to cover up his eyes darkening slightly at Isaac's words. "Like, I know that Lila lives alone. She's new in town from what the land lady says and doesn't know anyone. The land lady also said she knows this Lila is single and to be alarmed at strange men hanging around, I'm supposed to protect and watch over Lila for her essentially. It was alarming to see you come from her home while she was at work, but then you were... nice. But then you also asked for pain medication, and yesterday you exited my home and vanished leaving no trace except your shoes -which coincidentally vanished this morning." Isaac paused after the long explanation.
"I may be reading into things too much, however that makes this easier for you if I'm wrong right? I want to use my favor... to ask, What are you really?" After Isaac's mouth stopped running Spencer didn't know what to do. He was frozen. People had figured him out before, but no where near this easily. Spencer was suspicious that maybe Isaac wasn't human either. He looked at Isaac with dark amber eyes and a knowing glare.
"If I can vanish wouldn't I have just done so now to escape you?" He decided not to reveal himself knowingly to Isaac. Isaac adjusted his glasses with a cocky smile.
"I will count avoidance as non-human. And if you refuse to answer I want to know how you know Lila." Spencer felt like a stone was stuck in his throat. He didn't have an excuse yet as to why he hung around her. She still hadn't even seen him. He needed a way to introduce himself to her, but had found none at the moment.
Suddenly an idea hit him, but he would have to tell Isaac the truth. He could use Isaac to say they were her neighbors, he could say he was Isaac's roommate. He told her boss he was her roommate, but he would have to figure that out later. Right now he just needed to be in her life. He felt the smile grow across his face.
"I think you owe me another favor for that, and I'll tell you everything." Isaac sighed.
"What now???" Spencer only smiled wider, his dimples showing. Reaching past Isaac he knocked on Lila's front door. After listening to her hop around on her good foot for a good five minutes she finally pulled open the door. Spencer easily pulled Isaac towards him in a casual manner by looping his arm around Isaac's neck. He smiled so wide his eyes closed from the joy.
