Zeus, Hera, Hades, Persephone, Poseidon, Athena, Apollo, Ares, Hephaestus, and Aphrodite sat in the plush red chairs that were in a circle in my library. They were all laughing and arguing, being flat out drunk from the drinks that I provided. Slamming fist on the table, I sent ambrosia flying in the air. I was getting sick and tired of all the noise, this needed to stop. I took a chug of nectar to get my nerves up. “Alright, that’s enough. I didn’t bring you guys here just to drink my nectar, eat my ambrosia, and ruin my library and table.” My shout rang out around the library, in agitation my wings fluttered out.
Everyone muttered out sorry and settled back into the chairs to face me. The goddesses were on the right side of the table and the gods were on the left, I was at the head of the table. Aphrodite started to braid Persephone’s hair and she seemed to be enjoying it. Poseidon and Zeus started to pester Hades until the shadows started to reach out towards them. I sighed, it was like dealing with a bunch of children. I waved my hand to disapparate the shadows and got down to business. “I want to invite some of your children to a three-week party for the Half-Blood Moon.” Gasps eliminated through the room. “I would like Météo Belysning, Storm Belysning, Nico Morte, Mia Morte, Alexander Mer, Victoria Libro, Will Sole, Carter Guerre, Luke Fuego, and Grace Amour.”
Apollo and Ares burst out laughing and Aphrodite looked stricken. The rest of the gods and goddesses were looking very uncomfortable. I was taking their best assets, I knew it, they knew it. This wasn’t going to be easy, I knew that when I made the plan but these Demigods needed to find out how to use their powers. The Demigods’ powers were getting filtered down with the more offspring that the gods are producing except for Hades, his children kept dying. They were gruesome deaths too. I shuddered just thinking about them, I had been present for both of them; if unwillingly.
I was brought back into the moment by a round of nervous noises. I looked around as shadows attempted to enter the brightly light library in an attempt to reach me. I huffed and quickly banished the shadows back to where they belonged, the darkness. I gathered my breath and made my pitch to the judgemental gods and goddesses. “Look, I know that these are the best of your children and that is why I’m taking them. With the Half-Blood Moon coming up, their powers are going to fluctuate out of their realm of control. I need to teach them how to control their new powers. It’s been a hundred years since the last batch and the Half-Blood Moon is looking for victims.”
Each of the gods and goddesses' eyes widened when they realized what I meant.
