We got on the bikes riding for a few hours. This region had such bad rains 

most of the area got flooded part of the year. Bren gave me a look before we

 stopped. He was still worried about me. Once we got off I patted his head 

letting him know I was fine. Kibo ran into the field just laying in the grass. I 

could see her tail poking from the grass. She had trouble looking solely 

human. Bren snuck up then jumped next to Kibo which made her jump. She 

hit him in the chest as using her tail to smack his head. I just sat down 

watching them. Thaddeus watched everyone sitting beside Lain. 

He couldn’t get that dream out of his mind.

 “Um...Lain...Do you think that someone could really want to be with me?”

 I look over a little surprised by his question.

 “Yeah. You can be a massive asshole but are a decent person over all.”

 There was a sadness to his eyes hearing my words. What did I say something

 bad? 

“Lain you don’t really even know me that well. I’m really not a decent 

person.” 

I lean over giving him a hug. I could feel his body tense of from being scared.

What the hell happened to make Thaddeus act like this from a comforting 

hug? Slowly I felt his arms wrap around my body. His embrace was warm like

 his fire. 

“Thank you...”

 I gave him a gentle smile as we pulled apart. Kibo ran up tackling us both in a

 hug of her own. She looked to Thaddeus then spoke in her sweet soft voice.

 “You are worrying to much. We are all a family here.”

 I could see a gentle smile come to his face as he actually hugged her back. 

Bren and I smiled. After getting Kibo off we set up camp. This place seemed

 fine for the moment. If I was being honest, I had no idea where we should go.

 We spent three days here letting everyone cool down. It was nice watching 

Bren play with Kibo. The moments she acted like a normal child felt really 

nice. As we got ready we decided our next stop would be Bonheur. The city

 named happiness was called that due to their euphoric pheromones in the

 air. It was like everyone was on some happy drugs all the time.

Before I could climb on the bike a loud sound came towards us fast. That is 

when I saw one of the flying ships hunters use or the military.

 “Kibo..Bren take the bikes and run! I will meet you in Bonheur.”

 They were about to get off when Thaddeus hit something on the bike to 

make it take off. The ship landed with over fifty men coming out. They had

 guns pointed straight to me.

 “That is the woman.”

 Great at least they didn’t want the kids. Letting out a sigh I kneel down to be

 cuffed. Stone just looked at the man leading it.

 That is when I could see in his eyes remorse. So this is what he had been 

hiding all along. 

“Stone make sure no one hurts the kids.” 

He looked to me with such eyes that the guilt was eating him away. The men

 pull me into the ship throwing me against a wall. Soon as my skin touched

 the wall it wrapped around my body. I watched as their leader walked over

 putting a hand on Stone’s shoulder. 

“You did a great job. Your mother will be proud of you.”

 Did he say mother? Wait does that mean that the psycho bitch was his 

mother? That is when it all hit me hard. Why he had looked so sad let alone 

all the conflict in his eyes.

I watched as he boarded the ship, looking solely to the floor. Their leader was

 laughing about how easy it was to catch me. If he only knew how much of a 

threat I could be his laughter would fade. Thaddeus sits down next to me 

letting out a sigh. 

“I’m sorry Lain...you’ve probably guessed the person you hate most is my

 mother.”

 He looked up to my eye just looking lost. What kind of a conflict was going

 on in his head? One of the men walked over lifting me head. He leaned down

 licking across my face. At the same time I could see there was a rage in 

Stone’s eyes. The man let go walking back over to the other men laughing.

“She even taste like a savage beast. Wonder what she would be like in bed, 

although with her kind she might eat you.” 

The men started to laugh even more. I felt gross being licked but kept my

 calm. The kids were safe and that is all that mattered. 

Their leader walks over with a small box placing it to my neck. That is when I 

felt a sharp pain with electricity course through my body. Letting out a snarl 

my fangs started to grow along with my wolf ears. The man looked to my 

eyes with a smirk to his lips. 

“There we go now you really look like the filth you are.”

 I’d bitten my tongue during the small change so I spit it into his face. The 

man looked so pissed off I had to laugh. 

“I am filth really? You are just a bunch of fucking barbarians with advanced

 tech.” 

Thaddeus stops the man before he punches me in the face.

 “That is enough. Do you want the high Elder to be upset with you all.”

 The man scuffed moving away from us. I smiled with my head down.

Bren and Kibo had been trying to stop the bike for an hour. Kibo just clung

 onto his shirt crying into his chest.

 “Lain...they took her...”

 Bren patted her head trying not to cry himself. Bren mumbles to himself.

 “How did they know our location? The only change is Thaddeus.”

 Kibo looked to his face. 

“Do you think he was working with the bad people?” 

Bren looked to her face letting out a sigh. 

“I don’t know...he has always seemed a little strange. I never took him as 

one of the bad guys but maybe I was wrong.”

 They both went silent as the speed of the bike increased. It took only twenty

 minutes for them to reach Bonheur after the increase of speed.

 Once there Bren puts the bike into the orb form. He looks around searching

 for a hotel quickly to get out of the streets in case they had been followed. 

Kibo followed him like a lost little puppy, she had empty eyes once more. 

Recently she had been showing signs of emotion in her eyes like a normal 

person. Once he found a room they quickly got in locking the door.

 “I hope that Thaddeus really isn’t an enemy but truly an ally.” 

He gives Kibo a bathe then puts her to bed laying next to her.

On the ship the men kept looking to Lain then to Thaddeus. They couldn’t get

 over the fact he would spare her from any kind of pain. Thaddeus knew it 

was risky to help Lain in here but couldn’t help himself. He had felt welcomed

 for the first time in his life with her and the children. Right as one of the men

 was getting up to start shit again there was an explosion. They instantly 

started to scramble.

 “Lain I’ll try to get you out in this commotion.”

 Did he plan this or was it some sort of fluke? I could hear one man yell brace

 for impact. The ship landed hard as I saw Thaddeus thrown against the wall. 

He coughed up some blood which had me even more worried.

 A loud screeching sound was heard as the side of the ship came open. There 

stood a woman 5'6 with black hair, blue eye, rich brown skin, and her left eye

 is missing. The woman was in tight leather pants with a short leather crop 

top. She looked over to me smirking.

 “Seems we have made a pay day here boys.” 

With those words many people came in putting weapons to everyone’s 

throats.

“Okay everyone this is a heist. We are going to take all your weapons along

 with this pretty little lady. You don’t have the option to refuse me either.”

 Thaddeus was about to start a fire when the woman looked down to him. 

She licks her lips as his hand get slashed up.

 “Not a good idea boy. I am a wind user. Your little fire can’t work without

 air to breathe.”

 The man next to her kicks him hard knocking Thaddeus out cold.

A tall man walked over just ripping the metal from my body. At the same time

 the woman injected something into my neck. I could feel myself loosing

 consciousness. The woman looks at the leader. 

“Now be good boys as we leave or else you will all die. I know this woman is 

wanted by the High Elder which means she is valuable.” 

The tall man follows behind her as they leave. Not far from the ship there was

 a huge ship hidden with camouflage. They all board it taking off at a high 

speed. The man carrying Lain tosses her in a cell on the ship. 

“Are you sure Julia that she will not put us in danger?”

 The man had heard all the rumors about Lain. The woman sighed sitting 

down. 

“She is dangerous of course....but we can put her on ice for now. Once we 

get back to our base she will stay like that till we wake her up.”

 The rest of the ship seemed to feel the same way. 

On the military ship Thaddeus had come too, he instantly looked for Lain.

 “They took her.” 

The leader of that ship pointed a gun to Stone’s head. 

“You were going to release the prisoner before they came barreling into

 the ship.”

 He can’t help but to laugh as turning to face the man. 

“Hell yes I was going to set her free. She is the first person to make me

 actually feel like a person and not a weapon.” 

The man shoots but barely misses as Thaddeus enveloped himself in a blue

 flame like a huge barrier. The man backed away knowing how dangerous the

 blue flames could be even the slight touch could burn you alive.

 “Now I’ve got to be leaving. Oh do tell my mother one thing for me if you 

will. I’m going to help Lain take her down.”

 He threw one of his orbs into the air then gets on his bike. First thing he

 needed to do was get to the kids, next they could look for Lain.
