It’s kinda weird, white diamond could see a gems “flaws” (garnet as dependent and pearl as obsessed) just by looking at them and Steven is always so negative on himself, deep down he thinks of himself as “flawed”, possibly cause white diamond thought she was “perfect” and Steven is half of white diamond so anytime Steven is negative about himself it’s almost like white diamond talking down to him.
