“Don't panic,” Raven told Wolf calmly. “Please don't panic.” Wolf began to growl. “You're panicking, and I specifically asked you not to.”
Wolf shifted slightly, Raven recognizing the subtle shift that allowed Wolf to spring into motion in a moment. “You have two choices before me, my friend. If you pick the wrong one, I will be most cross with you.” Raven warned Wolf. “Wolf, don't-”
Whatever Raven thought to say was cut off by Wolf springing forward, his long form stretching out with his teeth bared. Raven exploded into a cloud of feathers, turning into her avian form and darting to the side. Wolf crashed into the cold stone but was not stopped; he whirled about in a moment to growl in warning at Raven, who alighted on her perch.
Well, that went well, Raven thought to herself. Sorry, Wolf, but this is for your own good.
Leaping from her perch, Raven swooped low on the floor, advancing rapidly upon Wolf. Quick as a flash, she sunk her talons into the scruff on the back of Wolf's neck and shook him as much as she could. His relatively large size meant little movement occurred, but it succeeded in drawing Wolf's attention. Bucking his head and body, Wolf managed to throw Raven into a wall where she collapsed to the floor, stunned. Wolf leaped forward and closed his powerful jaw around Raven's dazed form.
