Seth having bad stuff in his life too does not excuse the way he treats Corinth! (and he's not lying here, he lives alone with his dad and his dad often yells at him and insults him) I don't think that having been hurt excuses you hurting someone else. But abusive people are human and will sometimes be kind, and show other sides of themselves, sometimes they also experience tragedy, but they are still abusive and it's not okay!
I'm just showing their relationship at the start. a lot of abusive people will be very kind at the beginning of a relationship and slowly ramp up their bad behavior. Often victims blame themselves. :(
