Small fact that maybe no one cares about: I’m part Hispanic, so I wrote Rocky to also be part Hispanic! I flipped it though. My mom is white and my dad is Mexican. In this, Rocky’s dad is the white one. Growing up I never really saw families in cartoons that looked like mine, so I didn’t have anything I could relate to in the realm of only practicing half of cultural traditions. Hopefully I’ll get to incorporate Rocky’s family and heritage in more, so kids like me can resonate with him.
